Adelman has a pretty long track record of success. If you think it was just that he had talented teams, what about all the talented teams just recently that never amounted to anything, e.g., the Nuggets the last few years, some of those Knicks teams with $100+ million payrolls in the weak East, the Bulls last season in the weak East, etc... There are plenty of examples and I'm sure better ones than I just listed.

I'm not saying Adelman is the GCOAT, but I wouldn't lay this on him yet.

I do think him, and his staff, are partially responsible for some of these defensive lapses but I wouldn't throw him under the bus this early. He isn't the defensive mastermind that is JVG, but he does other things better. It takes a while for players to adapt to his offensive style. When you have a hobbled T-Mac and slow-footed Yao as your cornerstones, it's not hard to see why it's so difficult to implement a motion-based offense.

Right now, there is a collection of issues that we need to sort out before we do too much finger-pointing. He's been with this team as long as Aaron Brooks. He was dealt a hand and change takes time.

I'd say he did well last season, everything considered. We are all frustrated as fans right now, but I still have confidence in Coach A.

Wow so quick do we forget that this is the same coach that led our team on 22 game winning streak. Why the hell would you even propose such a ignorant thread. Unbelievable! This is our coach and you will see how great he is!

Fire Adelman, then sign JVG? great idea, JVG is gonna fall into honey and thanks this dude a lot. Have we forgot the 22 winning streak? We have made a huge progress during the past, one year and a half, JVG also acknowledge that RIC and morey and les have managed to upgrade our talent without losing too much, they have done a great job.

We never should have fired van gundy to begin with. I can admit that after that playoff loss, I was frustrated and wanted him out of here. By the midpoint of last season though, I realized it was a huge mistake. The ONLY thing Adelman does better than Van Gundy is playing the young guys and allowing them to develop. Now that Landry/Scola/Brooks are ready, we would be a much better team with Van Gundy at the helm. Hell, there's no evidence that Van Gundy wouldn't have played those guys had they been here. We spent a lot of time b****ing about Novak, only for it to turn out that Van Gundy was RIGHT and we were WRONG.

Our players just aren't suited to Adelman's offense.

Our defense from the JVG era is also starting to wear off. Last year we still basically had all the same guys so they just ran the same stuff JVG tought them but this year our defense will go downhill despite adding Artest.

Imagine if Scola could actually play defense. He would be awesome.

If any of you are being serious about firing R.A., then you are NOT smart.

guys...we have Ron as a new comer, shane not playing , OFF yao , recovering T-mac , getting-better brooks and landry ......we need time, not all these bickering and fussing after a loss to the repeating champ and a sudden death.

we are the rockets fans.....so, be like one

My biggest problem with Adelman is that he plays Yao way too many minutes. That is an excellent way to coach if you want to run your injury-prone 7' 6" center into the ground before the All-Star Break.
