This is working out. There is precedence to do this. Remember Georgia Tech softball coach Sharon Perkins got an extension to 2010 after 1 year of coaching. Tmac is very happy with this offense and Adelman has shown flexibility in his rotations. Seriously, TMac looks better than he ever looked under JVG, Yao is playing more minutes without getting tired, and guys like Steve and Bonzi are playing hard when they would never want to play for JVG. And, when is the last time we blew out a team by 30? Did JVG teams ever do this? Fact is, the NBA is favoring offense with rules changes, and we might as well get on the offensive bandwagon.
I peed myself laughing. I think its too soon to call. EXTEND FRANCIS (yes I am serious) seems more fitting right now.
Nope, actually we had a fair number of blowout wins last season. Talk about a knee-jerk reaction after our first blowout win in 14 games: Last season: 107-76 DAL 94-72 MIA 81-63 CLE 118-90 GSW 92-62 CHA 97-78 SAN 96-71 NJN 94-68 ATL And that was all before new year's day.
OK fair enough. The point of this thread really was to mock the knee-jerk reactions against Rick. Let's calm down and give him time to coach his way. I remember JVG struggled early in his coaching tenure. I remember fans booing JVG at several games early in the season. It looked like JVG didnt realize that the ball was supposed to go INTO the basket. Similarly, there will be growing pains with Adelman. We just need to be patient.
Fair enough. There is still work to do though. This win had as much to do with Denver's lethargy as it did with coaching...so I'm not really sold yet. If the Rockets can put together an impressive stretch of wins (10-1 or something like that), then perhaps we can say that the ship has been righted.
