Hello All, I thought i would post this because i'm sure there's a lot of people what have many questions to ask him. Here is the link: http://blogs.chron.com/sportsupdate/archives/2008/02/live_chat_today.html
nice. Im sure he will not be allowed to answer any of the juicy questions. Ex. Q: So who are we targeting to acquire? A: Well we feel if we have a player that can help us we will pull the trigger
I think it is nice he's going to talk with the Fans. Not many people actually do that these days. I highly doubt we'll trade for anyone unless he's going to trade Kirk Synder to some team but that would only be for cap relief.
I can't be there ... but, could someone be very direct and ask: "What players have we had interest in that were available at this trading deadline?"
I thought I would post the answers in here as they are posted in chat.. in case anyone can't attend... (I will just update this post instead of creating a bunch of them) This one is a really good question!!
Damn, I should have asked him whether Rafer taking a jumper on a fast-break is a high-percentage shot! I knew I was forgetting something.
lol is that sarcasm?? I asked three questions already (doubt they will get through) but I can add is Rafer's fast break jumper a high percentage shot too.
<QUOTE>G-449152688: Are the Rockets looking to make any moves to bolster this team? Maybe a true point guard or a scoring power forward? Daryl_Morey: We are actively looking for moves to improve the team now or in the future. At this point, nothing is imminent but we have several things still pending where we are waiting on other teams to respond. </QUOTE> In other words, we called Memphis about getting Mike Miller for Kirk Snyder and change... still no return call..... hmmmm.... wonder why???
It would be completely stupid of him to share what's really going on. The fact he even does this is pretty neat. Asking questions about stats and the past is where you'll get the knowledge. Asking him who's on the trading block and who they are trying to get is just absurd.
thanks nWo... had to actually talk to a client there in the middle... darn work interrupting my clutchfans time!!
It's so funny listening to the way that he answers questions compared to other general managers in the NBA and other leagues. How many other ones would describe the future of the team using discount rates?
