I'm a big believer in cyberx, believe his info is legit. I appreciate him posting it for all of us -- thank you. These are just my opinions: I can't see the Rockets trading Chandler Parsons. I do think trading him allows him to get his payday sooner, and if Parsons himself wanted that, then maybe that could change things. I think the Rockets want to get the next big player, then pay Parsons... so it could delay his payday until 2015, but I think the Rockets like those three and want to add to it. I think for a third star, the Rockets are likely shopping TJones and picks, plus any other assets they have outside of those three. (I've always felt though that if Kevin Love became available, then Parsons may have to go on the block) Rondo is a very good player but I must undervalue him if he can generate that big of a haul.

Have heard same. RT @hoopshype: Rumors: Celtics want two first-round picks for Rajon Rondo. http://t.co/I40I4xu5Tj
— Zach Lowe (@ZachLowe_NBA) February 17, 2014
It seems what BOS is most interested in is the unprotected 1st rd picks, after that maybe a young promising prospect. I guess you could say Rondo its an upgraded PatBev, if its working with Bev why wounlt it work with Rondo? he seems to have a few issues but we have a great locker room, a solid coach, and a terrific front office overall its a great atmosphere.
Its like as soon as he said parsons might be in the deal, people started saying OP was full of lies. I just wanted to point out the way the thread turned on him. Please continue.
Remember Cyberx said Dwight wasn't thrilled with the PG situation earlier this season. I wonder if Morey has talked with Dwight about Rondo...could be the driving force behind a deal like this. Remember, winning it all is still the goal, not just winning. Dwight could still think we need a pg upgrade
I believe we need a true PG, which IMHO neither Lin or Bev are. A healthy Rondo would give us a QB of the offense that can facilitate and keep everyone happy. Yes he's not a good shooter, but frankly he fills key gaps we have on this team--great play-maker, great defender, tough leader, etc. I don't buy that Rondo will disrupt the chemistry, because he's about getting the ball in people's hands to score and he'll make Harden and Howard happy. My biggest concern is his health. Is he really ready for the demands of a stretch play-off run? If DM can structure this deal right w/o weakening ourselves or creating new gaps, then we should have a great shot this year. However, I wouldn't risk the loss of Parsons in this deal because of the below. Parsons is a Celtic like player. In fact, he reminds me a bit of a bigger, young John Havlichek. Chandler has improved every year and should only continue to get better. Yes, we'll have to pay him, but if he continues on this pace and becomes a modern JH, why wouldn't you want to pay him and keep him? Parsons' may be a glue guy now, but on other teams he could easily be a 20+ pt scorer, while averaging 7 rebs and 4-5 assists per game. He's a pretty damn good third scoring option right now and will only improve. Rondo and change (e.g. Faverani) for Asik, Lin, Jones (or DMo) and 2014 1st seems like a good trade for both teams. Asik gives them a defensive presence, Lin a scoring PG, Jones a PF with great potential and another 1st RD pick in a loaded draft to maneuver with. I'd be leery of giving more with Rondo just coming back from that injury.
For real...I mean, he's got the most posts in this thread (16 so far), and they're all saying pretty much the same thing. No need for all of that, jtr.
I think he could absolutely be telling us what he hears, but what he's hearing could be bogus. IMO that's the case.
What? That would be pretty stupid, Parsons is arguably the most important guy to the Rockets. If the Rockets are afraid of paying a guy that is a 17-6 guy who shoots 50+FG% and 40+3p% then Morey is not as sharp as I thought. DD
1. Maybe Morey isn't sold on Harden being the primary ball-handler. 2. Parsons becomes expendable if the franchise is sold on Covington getting real NBA minutes. Right now he looks like a sharpshooting 2 way player.
Rondo has had a lot of injury problems last several years though. He's played 68,53, and 38 last three seasons.
Morey is not trading for Rondo. Every year about this time Ainge presents his sorry ass to the league. Never any takers. Any leaks are coming out of Boston trying to stir sup interest. I am not sure that Rondo is even worth Asik to be honest.
Rondo would be a good fit. Wouldn't give up Parsons to do it but would definitely think about Lin, Asik, 1st.
Trading Parsons now gives his new team, in this scenario Boston, the option to make him a RFA and then match whatever it is though, right?
You can't be serious with your 2nd point. An unproven D-league player vs the most important guy to the rockets and team chemistry all in one.
