seriously, guys that turn the collar up on their polo shirts suck. it's worse than dude's that wear their "blingin" chain on the outside of their shirt.
Personally, I don't do it and I never would b/c it doesn't fit my style or personality. But I really don't care if someone else does. I don't understand why they have to "suck."
Wearing Your Collar Down is for Poor People. When I get out of business school, I'm going to be making $120,000 a year. Add that to my trust fund, and I can buy a country club membership, a ski house, and still have enough money to go barhopping around the city in my designer clothes and ****-eating grin. Maybe I'll offer you a hundred bucks to flip my collar up for me. I earned it you middle-class f*** up. I bet you went to public school. You're so predictable. I bet I can guess your political party just by looking at you. My cronies and I range from elitist northern liberals to heartless conservative bastards. I've wasted enough time with you. Get some rich parents, an internship, and a pink polo with the collar up, and then maybe I'll let you hang out with me. Collar Up http://www.georgetownheckler.com/collar.html
Popping a collar is just another wave of clueless preppy style sweeping the nation. The original intent was not without merit. In the 50s and 60s young men and women at school would wear polos under their button downs when they were involved in sporting activities. Sort of like an undershirt. They would flip the collar up so that it didn't bunch up with the collar of the oxford. That's how it started, innocently enough. And 40 years later, people that want a little bit of that look, a little bit of that life, are said to "suck." They're only following the trends, what the designers tell them to wear in magazine ads. Bleh. Now, unless you went to a feeder school for Harvard or Dartmouth, where popping the collar was institutionalized, its just fashion. Fashion changes, can be tasteless, is usually always expensive, and is usually never useful. Fashion is what really "sucks."
Wasn't this the preppie style like....20 years ago? Seriously, I thought this was sort of an 80's thing. Do people still do it?
The 80s are sooooo in. Go see Louis XIV and The Killers. Hello, Cure influence. Nice Adam Ant hair. (Great music, tho)
Who cares? I have a bigger problem with kids wearing dog collars, but I don't go around saying "they suck." They're just really weird
B-Bob would let us know what is right and what is wrong on the collar flip ~ B-Bob knows these things...
can you imagine Donald trump with a colla flipped....i don't think so Mr.igotobusinesschool HAHAHA...you also think 120,000 a year is a lot.... and having your colla' up is for classless fools that think they are still teenagers....so grow up.
I have a problem when people combine the popped collar with the front tuck and the freakin' aviator sunglasses...at night. Damn frat boys.
