I'm going to Chicago for 6 days starting next week.

Tell me what to do there.

I'm thinking along the lines of sporting events, music, food, general attractions, and night life.

    Thanks.

If starting next week means you'll be there tomorrow, there's a NASCAR race in Chicago.

    Portillo Dogs
    Gino's East
Rush and Division St bars (Mother's etc)

Sit in the bleachers at Wrigley. Get there 2 hrs early and sit in the front row.

Chicago Pizza. How could I forget that?

If you like Chinese food, there are quite a few good
resturants in the Chicago Chinatown, for example,
    Lao SiChuan.

That is something I would LOVE to see.

Was there about a week ago and did alot of walking downtown. Really cool city. Navy Pier is overrated. Take a boat ride if the weather is nice, it cost's about 25 bucks but takes in most of downtown. If you are into architecture, don't forget to visit Oak Park and take a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's homes and workplaces.

dont forget the House on the Rock at Spring Green, WI too? His "real" home,
about 180 miles from Chicago. It has so many squanky collections of Frank
    Lloyd Wright.

I agree The Boat tour starting near the Wrigley building definitely worths
    the money.

Chicago would be the greatest city on earth... if it wasn't for their AWFUL winters.

The Museum of Science and Industry- One of the best museum I've been to and its freakin huge.

China Towm on Cemak or Viet town up North- Best if you go at night where people comes in or go see some import drag racing in China town.

Sears Tower/John Hancock center- One of the tallest and most famous skyline.

Water Tower and Nordstrum mall in the down town area- Awesome malls, but you must bring some hefty cash to have fun here.

Millinium Park- A new renovated Park just across Lake Shore. Its just a beautifull scenery with many innovative architectures invention scattered through out.

The winters are so bad that I cant think of much positive to say about Chicago. I lived there for about 4 years and I absolutely hated it. It was miserable. Its grey for months, the snow never goes away, its dirty and old, every freeway is a toll road, no mexican food, no decent seafood, the people talk stupid, and my ex wife is from there.

They do have damn good pizza, gyros, italian beefs!, and cannolis. If you are going to go, this is the time because the summers are absolutely wonderful. Outside of those 2 weeks, it ****ing sucks donkey balls.

-I liked the Art Gallery and Field Museum best. They don't really have a metro stop, but you can metro to it.
    -I didn't like the Planetarium.
-Aquarum had belluga's, but otherwise just a duversion.
    -The tall buildings are fun.
-Popcorn somewhere in the shopping district is popular. Long lines.
    -Chicago Pizza is awesome
    -Didn't like the boardwalk
-Strip clubs were less than exciting.
    -Whitesox and cubbies ok.
    -Good place to go walking.
