I'm going to be in Chicago on business all of next week and am interested in some stuff to do in the evening.

Best steak (prefereably not the most expensive)?
    piano bar?
    other suggestions?

I had fun recently at Buddy Guy's blues bar.

You could always go tour the University of Chicago law school.

I heard a TON of good things about lunch at Morton's Steak house. And the lunch is supposed to be fairly priced. ($10-20)

But if it had to be in the evening, I'd still pick Morton's. Chicago's is the original.

It's been a while, but I remember eating a lot of really killer pizza. Also, it's a little out of the way, but if you're lonely, check out the Northwestern girls.

Dude, if you check it out let us know. I know the Morton's in Houston is awesoem. I went to the on in Honolulu and it was close, but not quite the same. I wonder if the one is Chicago is better than Houston?

Unfortunately, they don't do the lunch in Houston. That's why I suggested that. And the original is always the best.

Oh, ok, I've never been there for lunch. I'm hardly ever in Houston anymore unfortunately.

Actually, Morton's is closed for lunch. Well, at least the one in Westchester (Oak Brook area) is. We have an office in the same building as Morton's there and we tried to go to lunch there one day to no avail.

Buddy Guy's is an awesome suggestion. He frequently shows up and performs. Harry Caray's is a cool place to visit as well. Some of my coworkers were there when Ryne Sandberg and his family showed up. If you are into seafood, go to Nick's Fish Market.

One other tidbit, the Field Museum has the largest T-Rex ever found. That's something cool to see if you are into that.

That is amazing, if true. Do they have a Morton's in Downtown Chicago? I'm sure that would be the one open for lunch.

They have two in Downtown. One is off of Wacker and the other is off of State Street. I think the Wacker one is open for lunch but State Street is not.

Chicago Chop House is fantastic. Not too expensive. Great atmosphere of old Chicago.

I will be in Chicago all week by myself. I can't postpone it (business trip).

The office and the hotel are both in Oak Brook (I'll check and verify if Morton's in Oak Brook is open for lunch).
