Agree Disagree or state that you don't know. Just to liven things up a bit in here. Noitce how it's not a question, but a statement. Discuss.
When I was a kid, before my folks started sending me to Sunday School, I thought G-d was a big mainframe computer.
Agree. I have a very different conception of what God actually is than most people, but I do not doubt God's existance in the least.
There is a God...and defending myself and my family is my responsibility to God for his precious gift of life... I keep and bear arms accordingly and my ban free Bushmaster M4A2 with attached Surefire X200 white light, tritium sights, and Crimson Trace laser sighting system optimizes my capabilities to survive... I have other fine firearms such as a longer Bushmaster M16 (only tritium sights on this), but this one in 16" barrel length is the best for most CQB, and self-defense scenarios... A tactical shotgun is the ultimate CQB weapon, but if it's more than 1 bad guy, the tricked out shorty is the answer.
I'm an I don't know. There are moments when I look at the world and realize God in everything I see. Then there are other moments when I see the horrors that people go through and realize that no loving god would ever put his children through the things some people endure.
Yes, There is a god, and when we die we all get a chance to meet him and sit down and have a laugh about how we petty humans made all this crap up about him and called it religion. DD
Once this poll is complete we can put the eternal question "is there a God" to rest forever. This board simply rox. BTW, I find it mildly arrogant those who voted there there is certainly a God or not a God.
Yes, I believe in God but I think most people would have guessed that. That is the amazing thing about God to me - He doesn't "force" Himself on anyone. There is nothing more that He would love than to have a personal relationship with you. Yet, He never makes it a mandatory thing.
it's just called faith, No Worries. i'm certain of it. i don't mean that to be arrogant, because my faith isn't a product of my incredible well-reasoned mind. my faith isn't completely without reason...but my faith is largely a product of experience and through an actual relationship with God. i realize that may be hard to comprehend.
i just find so much in the Bible that runs counter to the idea that the ultimate to the Christian life is mere defense of your family with weapons.
I didn't say it was the "ultimate" did I?...I did say I have a precious gift from God called my life and my family's life. Now if I value that gift, it is therefore my responsibility to defend that said gift!
