Did you view the clip? I can only surmise that you did not, seeing as though John Forbes Kerry speaks to each of the points I raised. In his own words of course. So my points stand, while yours unfortunately fall.

I'm really looking forward to a new crop of libs to have fun with. Kerry is beginning to get old. It's just too easy. If Balack Osama or Hildebeast join the mix, things could really get interesting.

I'm looking forward to Obama having a more featured position as well. Hilary is a robot with ambition, but apparently little genuine belief in any issue, so I am not that interested in her.

The video doesn't really change any of the context of what I already posted though.

i am in the camp that thinks he not very bright, he is immoral, he is spoiled and he is not much more than a puppet (or more of a puppet than most presidents).

bush got where he is today on his name and his fathers contacts. yale. skull and bones. arbusto. he was a failure as a buisnessman - he couldnt run an oil buisness in texas. i guess his greatest buisness achievement would be when he was owner of the texas rangers, got the county to fund a new stadium and sold the team for a tidy profit.

he speaks like an babbling, stumbling idiot. he doesnt know how to talk properly. he gets easily flustered. he makes dumb comments all the time and puts his foot in his mouth more than someone in his position should.

If Kissinger were an elected representative, or campaigning for anyone, yes he would be expected to apologize as profusely as Kerry, if, and this is the important part, he still expected his ideas, opinions to be taken seriously afterwards, particularly by the voters to which he is accountable, in the middle of an ongoing military engagement, during an active election year.

Are we certain, by the way, that Kissinger hasn't apologized or expressed regret for the comment?

I think John Kerry has the passion, intelligence and personal and professional experience neccessary to be a tremendous political columnist or commentator, or a good & effective local/state politician (mayor, attorney general or governor). But he's really made himself radioactive to his party for the next two years. He's similar, but not identical, to Trent Lott after the Strom Thurmond comment: too much of an old stereotype to be of any ongoing promotional value to his party, for the time being. Similar, because while Trent Lott actually was a dipsh*t as*hole racist during his college years in the 60s (though probably a decent and likable enough guy now), Kerry's own personal behavior: enlisting in the Navy during one of the bloodiest wars in the last fifty years, after getting an Ivy League degree and probably turning his back on all kinds of professional opportunities, actually contradict his erred statement.

Incidentally, regardless of my efforts to marginalize Kissinger's comment, thanks for finding it. Can't say I didn't learn something new.

True, but it was a "group project" with more than a few Democrats' names on the cover sheet.
