    IP Man

Movie from Bruce Lee's mentor. Great action scenes, good storyline, be sure you get one with English subtitles.

Not within the genre you mentioned, but I discovered a gem the other night called "Disgrace" with John Malkovich (sp?)

Odd story, interesting sub-stories...check it out.

    Dragon Tiger Gate

Mindless fun. Fight choreography is bananas. Donnie Yen.

Probably the best one out of the litter you pick OP... What I really don't like about Wuxia movies is the wire flying crap.. It just seems really corny and not a real kung fu/shaw brothers movie...

I am an Asian marshall arts/poetic justice film aficionado and can wholeheartedly recommend the film Romeo Must Die featuring Jet Li and Aaliyah. Really has all the elements of crouching tiger, hidden dragon in a more hip and urban setting. Most importantly, it is an inspirational story to all the immigrants who want to live the American dream while plowing the American woman. It created quite a stir in the Mu-Shu province back in the day when fans wondered why despite so many kissing scenes with other actors, the lovers Jet Li and Aaliyah were never shown kissing in the film. To that, Aaliyah replied, "If at first you don't succeed, Asian men, lift yourself up and try again. You can dust it off and try again. Try again."

A truly iconic film that marked the beginning of a new century for breaking down stereotypes in film.

I also agree with the_hustler, Kung Fu Panda was wonderful. I can really see you getting into that one, RR.
