and remember, she''s not only a member of the NAACP, but works for the government. institutionalized racism.
As long as there are all these "division" groups of race and color and all this junk, there will be this negative racism and such.
This women does not realize that she is discriminating...but it's interesting that she comes to this "realization" that there are "white poor people too". So hilariously sad. Racism doesn't hold any boundaries, Basso. Not sure what your point is here. You find the same thing in any group - from the ADL to NAACP to whatever. But let's keep something in mind. The NAACP is not a political party. The Republican Party is. The Tea Party is. At the end of the day, this woman's position is a political appointment and she should be fired from her job immediately. There's no room for discrimination in our gov't and she's clearly violated that.
Is this just more Fox-conservo stuff trying to direct the anger of white folks hurting from Reaganomics toward black folks?
Poor white people and poor black people have way more in common than they do with rich people of their same race. When people figure that out, this country will be a lot better off.
indeed. i've said elsewhere that we should keep affirmative action programs in place, but rejigger the criteria such that they are based on income, not race or sex (or sexual orientation.)
How does her speech end? It seemed like she was getting at that it wasn't a race issue, but a class issue... but the video cut it short.
Interesting - have you read anything from Tony Brown? He says the same thing in his book "Black Lies White Lies" - great read
If you cared at all about poor people (not to mention GLBT) you wouldn't be such a hardcore partisan Republican.
