How pathetic is this lol just like always the first round will continue to be like a "Bye" for the top 2 seeds.

The Rockets would easily be a top 4 seed out there

I have to say at least it has gotten better.

It used to be pretty much top 3 teams then everyone else for a few years. Boston, Magic, and Cavs.

At least now there is SOME depth, that being said I really wish they just had top 16 playoffs, would make playoffs so much more exciting.

I reckon! Oh how the East suck hairy Balls.. Seriously, how unbalanced can the conferences get.

The top 3 of the East rape all the rest in the conference whilst like, the 4th and 5th stay close together, then u see NY stuck in 6th. Then there is a huge orgy from 7th to 11th seed. WTF

At leats in the West (Outside SAS), its somewhat competitive in terms of playoff positioning.

I know I'm just saying since we're good at beating teams hovering around the .500 mark we'd kick ass on these below .500 teams and have a healthy roster we might've snuck up into the top 4

The Celts, Heat, Bulls and Magic make the East pretty strong, despite the weakness below. This may be the season it's clearly easier to make the Finals from the West than the East. Depends on if the Lakers remain wobbly and how the Spurs hold up healthwise towards the playoffs.

I wouldn't underestimate the Bulls. Assuming Noah comes back fully healthy and they jell for the playoffs, I wouldn't rule them out for the Finals. They will have two key ingredients for a deep playoff run: An elite defense and an elite closer who has some help.

The East has 6 teams with winning records; the West has 8. So I wouldn't call it the Leastern Conference any more. 4 of the top 6 teams in the league are actually in the East now.

The Rockets would be a 6-8 seed.

A Chicago-NY series would be epic.

I think Chi town would that that pretty easily.

    Boozer=Amare
    Rose> Felton

Plus you add Deng into the mix and the Bulls are to much for the Knicks and their lack of veteran talent.

It still the Leastern conference because the crap eastern teams give the other east teams free wins. For example cleveland gives every other eastern team a huge chance to get 4 wins, unlike in the West where its a dog fight almost every match you play. NY would be well into the lottery if they played in the West.

    No. Just no.

Amare is top 3 in MVP so far this year. Boozer is good, but no where near Amare.

Rose is really carrying Chicago with Boozer and Noah missing games. He's such a great player. Overlooked a lot when discussing top point guards.

The East has 4 great teams (pretty good), 1 good team, 1 mediocre team, and 9 bad teams.

The West has 2 great teams, 5 good teams, 4 mediocre teams, and 4 bad teams.

The East is top heavy and a bunch of bad teams. The West is more balanced top to bottom.

the first round will be like a bye for the top 2 seeds in the west too you know

the knicks have played the bulls well this year. and they have defended rose well this year. but as always, the knicks have played well vs the bulls b/c they have shot the ball extremely well. if they can do that for 4 games, they can beat the bulls.

The Rockets would not be a 4th seed in the East and yes I know the schedules would be different.

This is the truth , i think the "Red Glasses " prevent a lot of people to realize this .
