I am optimistic about our ROX this season and I like our chances against anybody in the WEST (when we get Yao back) and that made me think beyound the WEST and Into the NBA Finals. Which team would the ROX like or prefer to play? I personally would like to play the HEAT for the following reasons:

    1. The Heat are up there in age similar to the ROX and after a long season
and several playoff series this would be the team to play on an empty
tank, especially that both teams play the slow half court offense

    2. Alll the matchups favor the ROX, especially factoring in our defense
    against Wade

    3. It will be the time that YAO will get to proof once and for all that the
CENTER position is now a MING territory for many years to come

    4. JVG should have some of Riley's playbook and will be hyped to get his
revenge back for what he did to his brother Stan

It would be nice to play Shaq and the Heat and silence all the "Yao isn't dominant" haters.

I chose Detroit, cause then my two favorite teams would be in the finals.

I would prefer Cleveland or Orlando because our defense would choke the life out of both of their offenses.

the Rockets should go back and look at the games Chicago just played with Dallas and Phoenix and get some pointers on how they beat both of them.

The Heat will win the East for sure. Wade is an incredible winner. He is bigger than any other stars in East. Shaq/yao fighting will be interested. and maybe Heat can repeat.

Detroit might have a better record than us at the end of the season, so we definitely do not want to play them in the finals if we want home court.

I would like to see Yao send Shaq into retirement with a 4-0 sweep. Deja-vu for Shaq in finals against the Rockets.

For entertainment purposes, I wanna see a Rockets-Heat finals.
The Pistons will give us the toughest run, but we can still take them out.
Any other team would result in a merciless beating.

Well checking our record we lost 2 games against the East this season: Detriot and Indy.

I think we would smoke any of them, but Detriot would probably give us the most problems due to them having 5 quality starters. Chicago to me would be the easiest team to beat. They struggle for offense as it is, so our D should be able to shut them down pretty well. Also they have no reliable go to guy, so when we clamp down, they will struggle.

Anybody!!! I'm not scared of a matchup with anybody from the east. We can beat them all. Detroit matches up well against us though. I wouldn't want to play them in the finals

only team i'm afraid of is Miami because they have 8 men on the court at all times.

miami, it's going to be fun to see Yao-Shaq rematch: Yao beats Shaq, Rox wins, Shaq officially hand the "#1 Center" title to Yao, end of the story

Yes its my site, but all the posts are articles I copied. You should be able to see the link to the original site within the post. The only bits I created are the editorials and some of the stuff in the archive. Thanks for noticing though.

Miami is the only team that could possibly give us a challenge.

Detroit has no answer for Yao and has softened up on team defense. Who will contain McGrady?

Orlando has Howard, who may be able to challenge Yao, but I can't see him containing Yao. Again, who do they have to contain McGrady?

Washington would have to win it on the back of Arenas. As long as we hit open shots, it would be easy.

Cleveland, likewise, would depend heavily on LeBron. We wouldn't be able to contain him, but the rest of the team doesn't match up to us. Z cannot contain Yao.

We have shown we can easily handle Chicago.

It doesn't really matter, because everyone knows that the title will go to whoever comes out of the West. But for the sake of argument, the easiest path is Washington. We would absolutely destroy them. Poor Agent Zero.

I picked Washington because they would be the easiest. They don't have much experience or any D. Orlando shouldn't even be in this poll because there is no way they make it out of the East. Cleveland would be the next best choice. They can be pretty good at times, but the Rockets would definitely destroy them.

Chicago wouldn't be as easy as some people think. They can play some D, and they have a bunch of guys who can put the ball in the basket. There is a reason they're the only team to beat the Suns AND Mavs. Next to last would be Miami. They'd be tough simply due to Wade's will to win. He won the Finals for them, and it'd hardly be a surprise to see him lead the Heat to some more victories in the Finals.

Last, you don't wanna play Detroit. They have the most experience out of any of those teams, and they have a lot of (as Isiah loves to say) savvy veterans. They would definitely be tough, but I have no doubt the Rockets would get through them.
