I thought that today was the perfect game to get him some mins. especially when the Pistons were playing Shede and McDyese at the same time.

Why did we bring him in if we aren't going to play him?

You can tell Deke really wanted to play. He was standing almost the entire game . I don't know why Rick is so afraid to use him. It's not like Chuck is producing.

Yes, RA should play Deke facing slow teams.

I always have the feeling that our coach is too slow to react. We need the wagging fingers, coach.

I think a lot of people feel that Deke should play, but it's up to the coach, he may have his own concern. I think RA is a good coach.

I'd like to see his RA's response. A reporter needs to ask him. I guess it's because of the perimeter shooting that the C's in the last few games are capable of.

I agree. I have no problem with Chuck getting some PT, but Detroit had a stretch where they drove at will...and Deke could have stopped that.

Wouldn't mind seeing him play about 8-10 per

I don't know that we have 8-10 min. to give him, but I think we are ready to let Hayes move out and give Deke his 5-7 mins.

That's right - who would Deke defend?

Deke ain't going to go to the 3point line to defend Wallace. And not sure Deke would be able to play a zone and stay out of the paint. Hayes is a more versitle defender in that he can cover more of the court than Deke.

Plus we don't know what sort of game shape Deke is in.

I wonder if Dikembe is still rusty and is showing that in practice... so that coach doesn't want him out there yet.

Last season, he looked bad even in spot minutes for the first couple months... but looked better as time went on. He might need some more practice and workout to get into midseason shape.
