You're an idiot. Next you're going to tell us that Ford was and idiot because Benz invented the car. Idiot.

DaDakota, you're an idiot too. Put any other coach in the league in charge of this squad and we're a .500 team. JVG has been amazing all year long at winning, at motivating and making changes.

heypartner, you're an idiot. Anyone can start some sh_t and try to end it by calling the opponent an idiot, but in the history of history, when did that ever work?

don grahamleone, you are an idiot. You are calling three posters who are smarter than you, an idiot. Using simple logic, you're an idiot.

Wow, this is from the same guy who dogs JVG and praises Popovich for playing young guys, his coaching strategy and his ability to get "creative" and change things up if the game isn't going his way. Basically from the things you said about JVG/Pop, you didn't think JVG was anywhere near the level of Pop. So much for all their "creative" strategy in the past two games against Houston.

Folks wants to blame JVG every time we lose a game. How about giving it up to him for killing the Spurs twice in their own backyard. JVG may not have a ring on his finger, but you have to be half r****ded if you don't think JVG is one of the elite coaches in the NBA.

Except that frequently the Rockets don't bother putting Yao or Mutumbo on Duncan and just let him score on Howard or Hayes, at least that's the way it looked to me.

They certainly pick their spots, usually switching in the 4th quarter, probably to conserver fouls and to give TD a different look late.

I have said JVG is a good coach, but I question whether he is a championship coach. As I think his stubborness will be exposed in the playoffs.

But, as I said in another thread, he is growing on me.

One thing I noticed in the last game, when Deke guarded Duncan one on one, Deke gave Duncan that bank shot every sigle time, but he didnt move to let Duncan drive. I think that's a good strategy. Whenever Duncan moves to the hole, bad thing happens, and he usually ended with a 3 point play. His bank shot is not as deadly as before. Though he still dropped 37 points on us, we kept the rest of Spurs in check.

Is this how you come out and say "I'll stay on the fence, but when they don't win a ring I'll say 'I told you so'?" :D

BTW, how many championship coaches have we had since around 1991? Or will you admit championship coaches don't necessarily win championships? I need a clarification. :)

IMHO, there are times when he sticks with things too long and doesn't make adjustments.

Like the Dallas series 2 years ago.

And, I think that can hurt the Rockets chances.

But, I do think he is a good coach, and hope ...a championship coach !

We're 2-1 vs. the Spurs and they have the 3rd best record in the league at 32-14. The 'book' must be one those Idiot's guides to beating the Spurs ~ that or cliff notes.

i see, i just think stubborn is a harsh word. Especially when most coaches stick to their philosophy.

against dallas a couple years ago...what were the rockets suppose to do? rockets were limited b/c of the personnel and sura and wesley also fell apart during that series.

LOL - I guess it is a way of doing that !

Coaches that I think are championship but have not won a ring yet.

    Jerry Sloan
    Avery Johnson
    Mike D'Antonio

Coaches I think are good and could win a championship if everything aligns correctly -ala Larry Brown (whom I hate).

    JVG
    Rick Adelmann

    Again, all just my opinions.

You really need to stop bringing this up. Makes you look beyond silly. I know you like that, but it gets silly with you being so silly for such silly lengths of time.

Ryan Bowen started in that series. Get it through your idiot mind. Also, championships are built and this coach is building his championship team. Idiot. The Rockets did good to make it to game 7.

Now remember DD, idiot is the new genius. Someone on here said so. That person was an idiot. Flarking idiot. Problem is, genius is often used sarcastically.

Who invented english? Idiot. Everything has a double meaning. Language's soul job is to make communication clear. Idiot.

I know. It is so strange. I keep expecting Popovich to do something different in the 4th Q at least, but no.

you're right about JVG forcing ginobody to his right and not letting the left turn back. I've also noticed we will show ginobody some help D enough for him to not even try it....although he probably could. That's because Popovich has him trained to pass the ball if we show some help.

good for you Pops. That's right. Make ginobody pass the ball.

    amen smits

yeah they were certainly showing (over) early help on Manu and make him pass or get Pop to bench his ass

Pops has turned what was a three star pronged offense back into a one star dump it offense..... well done Pop

    are you calling me names?
I don't like being called names.

We didn't need no book when we had Hakeem! We just needed a ticket and hotdogs.
