The 76ers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Elton Brand and the $18M left on final year of his deal, league sources tell Y! Sports.

As reported by WojYahooNBA on Twitter.

He has career averages of 18.3 pts 9.4 rbds 1.9 blks, he is a 6'8" forward...
    Just saying.

    Where to next!

    Heat? L.A.? Houston?

Sadly, I would not be surprised. And we would start him at Center.

Lakers/Heat seem to make the most sense. Be a good backup to Bynum/Gasol, or replacement is Gasol were traded.

Miami doesn't need a PF, but they basically play with no C and 2 PFs, so he could rotate with Bosh/Haslem/Anthony

Lakers. After they trade Bynum and Gasol for Howard, they'll need a PF.

He could still be effective for a vet team like the Spurs.

Well he's been paid now. So why not make a bargain bid for him?!? We don't want him clearing amnesty and joining the spurs.
If you check his measurements, he's actually 6'10 with a 7'6 wingspan.

Honestly, he's still a pretty good defender, and he can still score in the post.

He's better than Asik will ever be ... Even at his advanced age.

    Exactly what I was thinking.
Looks like the young clips is getting old real fast.
They could start Cp3, Griffin and Jordan, than next comes, Billups, Crawford. Kmart and Brand off the bench.....
