If Woj reports it I gatta believe it has merit to it. Would be a smart move for the Suns I think. Shumpert is a really nice piece when healthy, and the Suns aren't going anywhere fast. They need some good young players.

Schump is a beastly role player. Not sure if he's as good as last year after that knee injury though...

Getting rid of the Dudley for Shumpert is about 3 million a year cheaper for the next few years...dunno if I'd give up a 1st though

Then what's the point for NYK? They give up the younger, higher upside and cheaper guy for an older guy and pay extra tax for what reason?

Sure PHX wants it, no reason NY does it, unless the pick is very good.

Suns need to catch up with Toronto in the mediocrity sweepstakes.

New York will need Shump's defensive prowess to make a deep run. He's one of the best perimeter defenders in the EC, along with Paul George, Avery Bradley and of course, LeBron. Ronnie Brewer and Courtney Lee are up there, too.

The Knicks are oozing with offensive dynamos, so that FO certainly values Shump's ability to get in the grill of a Wade or Rose for 4 Qs. I think it would take more than Dudley & a future 1st to get a young, versatile, super-athletic guard of his caliber. But, the knee thing may be a bigger concern than most believe.

Shumperts the real deal. If I were NY I wouldn't let him go

Grunwald's trying to get a feel for Shump's market value. New York may very well be in play for a much larger deal.

Shumpert before the knee was a top 3 perimeter defender.

If the Knicks consider themselves championship contenders, they have zero incentive to trade Shumpert unless someone blows them away. Defenders like him don't grow on trees and he's on a rookie contract.

I really don't get it for the Knicks to give him up at this point when his value is lowest.

For the Suns they are right in trying to acquire young assets...but you don't trade a future first for him...not when you are this bad and could be locked into top 10 picks for the next few years.

The Suns first round pick would be valuable if its unprotected since they have the 5th worst record at the moment

Why don't they offer to take Amare off the knicks hands in exchange for getting Shumpert?

Knicks would be stupid to let Iman go.

The thing though is that they are stupid.
