As a Houston fan and as an OKC fan, thanks Wizards! (Good job, good effort.)

Exactly. The Thunder got waaaay more in the deal with Houston. Beal wouldnt have made the impact KMart is having with them now. And thats not including the draft picks we gave them

Wasn't this the Domino that didn't fall that would have been the catalyst to a flurry of draft Day trades that would have netted us Dwight Howard? Thank goodness this didn't happen.

    John Wall
    James Harden
    Trevor Ariza
    Emeka Okafor
    Nene

Would of been a fun starting lineup to watch, glad it didn't happen though.

Seraphin has been getting those big man minutes. He's a promising player.

    There is an old joke:

    Q: "What is an Okafor?"

A: "An Oka is for nothing useful at all."

Singleton is a very promising player and Brad Beal was the darling of the nba draft, a guy with uber talent.

Maybe Washington saw what Harden really is, a nice player but not a max guy and not worth 2 high draft picks.

The article states that a wizard official denies that any deal was possible. Thunder wanted a high quality player in return--which aside from Wall, they didn't have.

Well they would deny it regardless just to make sure they don't hurt any players feelings.

There was a lot of stuff coming in and out that the Thunder could trade Harden to the Bobcats though.

I don't know if Beal's got it. Solid role player but a star? Questionable

I think you're thinking of your Gay boy who got a max contract larger than Harden's. But it's all good cause he showed us last year that he's on Durant's level right?

Only in the world of "What" is:

    Rudy Gay worth the max
    Rudy Gay on Durant's level
    Brad Beal better than Harden
    Harden not worth the max

Well said. Presti and Morey should send Leonsis and Grunfeld a bouquet of flowers. Wizards remain a failure, Rockets improve and gain some hope for the future and OKC is still a championship contender.

    My thoughts on the matter:

*Houston offer is still better than Wizards
-on paper, 3rd pick sounds awesome but in reality there isn't a big difference between Jeremy Lamb and Beal. Beal played awesome in college however his shot seemed to desert him once he suited up for the pros, and physically speaking he isn't that tall or athletic either. If you ask me between the two of them Jeremy Lamb actually has more potential simply because he's longer and his shot has looked real good. Chris Singleton isn't worth talking about IMHO, while Kmart gives them the stop gap option they need this year. The lottery pick of course cinches the deal.

*Wizards pretty dumb for passing on this
-from the article, seemed like OKC talked to the Wiz first, and the Wiz refused. LOL wtf? How dumb can the Wiz get? Beal at his very best would probably be James Harden. I guess they were trying to avoid the Lux tax, but if that were the case why trade for Okafor, Ariza and Nene in the first place lol.

Beal would've fit so nicely w/ the Thunder as a spot-up shooter.
