Cause JJ Watt lives in Sunny Houston, Texas and plays for the Texans and not Gloomy, windy, earthquakey, Bay Area, and plays for the 49ers or Raiders.

    eh, Reeko got it.

Sorry, I'm one fantastic healthy cook chef, and the kitchen is my domain. I'm not giving it up. I have my driver bring me fresh ingredients for every meal.

Man, 400K is pretty sensible for a professional athlete. Wonder if he paid cash for it.

Agree. Pearland is the worst **** hole suburb in the Houston area.

You think going into debt is smarter than paying cash?

That's like being the the shortest midget in the circus.

You think buying a house for cash is a smart idea when your livelihood could send you to another city? That among other financial reasons.

Good time to buy... housing market is still terrible. In 10 years that home will probably be worth twice as much.

I think he's likely to be here for the immediate future, plus the home isn't that expensive, especially if he got a large bonus and is making over a million a year. Plus, if he lives in an area where other players live, then if he ever gets traded it shouldn't be hard to sell to an incoming player at that price.

And maybe he's got a friend or two living with him, who pay him a little rent

How so? A friend moved out there and the area has really built up as far as I can tell. Their city center is quite nice. What's wrong with it?

True - $400k will buy you a 500 sq ft efficiency in the city. The 1BR/1BA upstairs in my building just went off the market for $560k.

The reason why they put the kitchen next to the living room is so that the person who is preparing meals, doing dishes, etc doesn't feel excluded from the rest of the family.

BTW, I'm the structural engineer who designed the foundation and framing for his home. True story, brahs ;)
