Was it accidental, in your opinion?

Nothing inadvertent about that. Clearly intentional.

At first I thought it was an accident but when they showed the replay you could tell it was intentional. There was like a slight pause and he just swung his arm.

I don't think Howard's blood-drawing contact with Asik was inadvertent either. Maybe I'm a conspiracy theorist. Or maybe I've just seen too much of the Lakers..

It wasn't an elbow, and it wasn't inadvertent. He did it on purpose, it was the back of his hand.

He did regret it the next second, though.

He had enough control to put the ball up cleanly... so I think yeah he swung his arm around on purpose... not sure he was aiming for the face but he meant to hit him.

As inadvertent as the Harden elbow from last years playoffs. Artest's tactics have been exposed.

cripes. guys know what they're doing when they swing their arms and elbows like that. even if you're not directly staring at a guy you know you're swinging at them and likely hitting them

Yeah.. it looked to me like he was getting ready to celebrate/complain about being fouled... Lin was still there.

Artest lost the benefit of the doubt years ago. That said, there is no possible or plausible explanation for swinging and hitting JLin that would cause any rational person to see anything other than a flagrant swing. Cheap shot artist. He will be getting a nice size fine to welcome in the new season, or at least he should. What a punk
