Infection could mean Sepsis. Even with that, I dont understand what would keep him from playing...

 

I would think it is related to his groin injury, like maybe he had an internal cyst or something that was treated with anti biotics, and he might have had it for quite some time.

Just an extremely uneducated guess though.

Sounds like a scary situation. Health comes first. if he doesn't return this year so be it. Dragic is playing well as the starting PG.

I guess the infection was more life threatening? But IMHO the groin thing is what could keep Lowry out for the season. You don't really want to be running and jumping around when your groin hurts.

 

I wouldn't worry about the groin at this point - he's given it more rest than he would have otherwise.

It's that he's completely out of condition with an extremely weakened body. The weight loss is going to really set him back, and it'll probably be a little while before he can go all out for reasonable 5-10 stints.

As per his medical reports, Lowry is so Tough that the only thing that really gets in his way is bacteria

 

Lowry was a better backup than a starter. He was more efficient. Even Morey said so. He stated that if he could play like he did as a reserve for starter minutes, he would be an all-star.

 

i just heard on 610 that he did return to practice today

 

not good, was hoping we had seen the last of this guy in a rockets uniform.

infection could mean pericarditis, inflammation of the heart basically. You never want to rush back with something like that...
