"He is the prototype player for Europe. He's perfect for their game."

That means he sucks and is below average on the the next one.

Parson will need playing time. Right now there are a lot of young guys on the team. There are 4 young SF - Budinger, Morris, T-Will, and Parson... By him going overseas, it opens up the door for the other guys to step in and take the Rockets SF duties; but he guarantee's himself more playing time in a professional league in Europe.

The SF competition will be fierce. Budinger established himself a solid starter - though if he doesn't improve his defense, he'll be a bench player next season. Morris comes is as a PF/SF guy, whom the Rockets think can be an all-star SF (but the experts think may not be able to play SF) - though if he establishes he can, then was the steal of the draft as he'd of been a top 5 selection. And T-Will is hanging on by a thread, super talented but lacks the Basketball IQ.

Parson is a prototypical European player according to his agent. Not a bad career choice, but he must remember that 1 year (especially when the SF position is wide open) might have long term implications.

Morey's said he is better than Chase Budinger Defensively - and he's yet to play one minute of NBA ball. And that he should have Chase's offense. And Chase was the starter last season. Heck Morey is already saying, "Hey Parson, the SF job could be yours"...

Not to forget to mention that he'd be the 3rd tallest Small Forward in the league... Tall, has decent defense, and has a good offensive game.

Parsons is doing the right thing for himself, for both PT and money. The exodus will continue, given the stance the owners are taking. It's not looking good for a resolution to happen anytime soon, and couple that with the money these players could make overseas, there's a good chance some more marquee players would walk as well. I think the owners are going to regret this, but more importantly, so are the fans (damn, damn, damn!).

As long as we can get him back for the season thereafter if he proves to be any good, I'm ok with it.

Chase Budinger needs to go play with his own kind in Europe, too, to make room for Marcus Morris.

LOL. Better than Chase makes him the starter??????

Don't be surprised if when it is all said and done that McHale tries to run Parsons out at SG.

His competition at SF isn't that stiff. Why would it be hard for him to crack the rotation? Morris is a rookie that might not even pan out as a SF and TWill has sucked. We sorely need an upgrade over Bud. There's a whole new coaching staff now that should re-evaluate the entire roster.

nobody cares! I'm just waiting for the mother of all NFL free agency periods. Parsons can stay in europe as long as he wants. marty leunen should be ready by now. Do the Rockets still have his rights?

    1. Morris is already a better player than Chandler Parsons. Marcus will most likely succeed at the 3, that's why Houston drafted him.
    2. Terrence Williams wasn't given a chance, he is probably the most talented player on the team, we haven't even seen him in the rotation yet.
    3. We have that surfer dude on our team too.

    No competition, you're right.

I love Leunen, but he is not type of energy player who is in the 8 man rotation. He is the energy player who sits on the bench and wears a cape for those 15 regular games he is used and those 2 playoff games in which he makes a big play.
