So what do you guys see as a potential trade package for Love? I'm seeing a 3 team trade developing here with a team that wants to take Lin or Asik with picks to compensate for their poison pill contracts. Probably gonna have to send Parsons, TJones, and a 1st to Minnesota though.

What would it take, realistically? Imagine if the Rockets could obtain both Melo and Love. Is that even possible?

Parsons and Jones plus picks for Love. Asik, Lin + whatever else for Melo? :)

    No.

And it would take Parsons, first rounders, Lin/Asik possibly going to a third team since Minnesota has no need for them since they have Rubio/Pek.

This is why we kept McHale. We need to appreciate his recruiting powers.

Maybe this "bond" is why we kept Kevin as our coach? Seems he has a pretty good relationship with his players, and has always seemed to be a coach hire for recruiting purposes who will do as told.

Realistically though, I don't see it happening. Only attractive piece is Parsons. And again, Suns/Celtics have way better assets.

doees "McHale has a strong bond w/ Love" mean Love WANTS to play for him, or just that Kevin really likes Love? That sentence seems a little one-sided, but maybe I'm reading into it too much

Love has leverage. He can tell teams he won't sign an extension. Minny has less bargaining power, ie chance to keep Parsons.

No not possible, Melo will get a 20 million dollar contract so cap wise it would be impossible to sign him with any other player.

Now, you can pair players with love through trade as he is only making 14 million. Its possible to pair love with the following through trade or sign and trade - Lowry, Rondo, Deng or basically anybody who would make around 12 million or under. Note doing so we be very difficult and highly unlikely, but you never know.

LOL as you can see I gave very little thought to that. Not sure what they're planning to do but I guess Morey has something in mind. Can't see them getting anything to work, though.
