Chase isn't even the best dunker on the Rockets. Its pathetic that he was in the contest.

At least he was consistent, but man he lacked creativity.

Last year's slam dunk contest was pretty good when they had the coaching going on. Although Blake won through Kenny Smith's overhyping, they had some pretty good dunks/ideas going through and the atmosphere was great.

They didn't even try in this year's contest, added nothing new.

Might as well have Jeremy Lin in the dunk contest. Can't get worse than this! Lol.

Chase did better than I expected him to. And I thought his second round dunk, while totally uncreative, was still pretty nice.

Maybe he was planning to do the windmill all along, but Williams had the same idea, leaving Chase with no time to think of another dunk.

Kind of like what Ibaka did to McGee with the biting dunk.

But Ibaka blatantly copied it, since McGee was doing it on videos way before the dunk contest.

They should really make a better system for the dunk contest so that their is no overlapping dunks and lackluster creativity.

Budinger missed a great opportunity to pull this one out. He's still too stiff and lacks the flair to make the dunks look good, but there was so much trash out there he could have won.

Should have dunked blindfolded first and went straight to the reverse. Yes he could see, but fans would have looked past it on the first dunk, especially if he did it on the first attempt. Scratch the phoenix uniform, rockets fans dont want to see that...SMH..

Second dunk should have been the eastbay dunk, under the legs, which he's done in the past...it's a safe dunk, which still get's love from fans.

Third dunk should have been the diddy dunk, but he needed to windmill it. This means diddy would have to duck a bit, but again, fans would let that go because overall it would look cool, plus it's one of the last dunks so they would have rushed to vote without seeing many playbacks, if any.

NBA still can't get the voting right. You need players, who were dunkers, to judge, but only make the total count public, don't show each score because they don't want to be the one to get booed by the crowd, even though they know better than fans. Holding up scores also influences the next judge too much.

If JLin was in that dunk contest he woulda won with 90%+ margins....hell, I woulda voted for him (and the rest of China AND Taiwan) for just being there.

He had it, jumping and dunking were the least of his problems.....he lacked creativity and knowing how to order his dunks..

JLin would be the only player to win a dunk contest with only layups.

you can clearly see that he could see through the blindfold on the second dunk attempt.

Lin will make some dunks, but not before turning the ball over on some of the attempts.
