Huh? Dirks awkward move is in no way beautiful. Theyre herky jerky. As opposed to how smooth Hakeem's moves were.

    Kobe's fadeaway jumpshot. Such grace.

How come we did we not mention the crossover?

As a kid, I was a big admirer of Allen Iverson's evolution of the crossover - probably the nastiest move besides the Dream Shake. It had everything: lighting fast speed, deception, and a killer step than broke ankles. Even left MJ baffled for a moment back in the day.

Jordan turn around jumper for me. Get it in the post. Turn around, shoot it in their eye.

As a guard I love the Eurostep and the evolution of the crossover. Also the MJ, Kobe turn-around jumper is also amazing. Then again, being a Rockets fan how can I not love the Dream Shake?

My favorite moves will always be crafty post moves -- not necessarily the Dreamshake, which was a fade away jump shot -- but the head fake, close quarters change of directions that Dream and McHale were the masters of. That's why I liked Scola so much and why I have such hopes for Donatus.

Another great move that should be mentioned though was Alonzo Mourning's old jump stop hook in the lane. I can't find a vid or gif of it, but that was a great power move that everyone had a hard time defending.

Tim Hardaway's 2 step was the first move I learned as a kid.

    Lost art.

Like him or not, Kareem had an amazing skyhook. Almost unstoppable. A beautiful piece of basketball history.

    That's the ugliest shot.
