The way Dragic is playing he is comperable to elite PG's like Paul, Rondo, Westbrook and co. Lin is nowhere near them. Put Dragic in NY and he will show how much better he is. Plus he isnmt a turnover machine

I don't know why this is still a question. Now if you ask would you take Jeremy Lin over Flynn (who ended up making the roster over Lin) then I would say HELL YEAH. Oh well, it is what it is.

I don't know. The Rockets were really high on both Lowry and Dragic, for good reason, and I don't think Lin is clearly a level above either of them even after Linsanity.

So its weird to see certain people kill the Rockets for choosing not to keep him. Especially when some of those same people have argued in the past that the Rockets have too many players at the same position who deserve to play.

You talking bout me? YOU TALKING BOUT ME !!!!

Of course you talking about me......

You are correct, our overcrowded roster does not leave much room for like skilled players to show their wares, it leaves a bunch of people pissed off and feeling like they should be playing...

    AND

You are also correct in that we should have kept Lin, because unlike the Paragraph above, he would not be an entitled player pissed off about not getting a chance, he would have been happy to be on the roster, and after all these injuries he would have gotten his chance.

So, yes...you talking bout me.......and now you know how you were misrepresenting my argument.

To me, the key is Dragic's free agency. If Lowry and Dragic were locked in contracts, there would be no reason to keep Lin even after Linsanity. But we are looking at the choices of either losing one of Lowry and Dragic or having to sign Dragic to a big money contract as a backup. I think Morey miscalculated the PG situation. He probably underestimated BOTH Dragic's AND Lin's values.

How can Lin be better than a franchise player (Lowry) and a top 5 PG (Dragic)? ;)

Lin isn't even close he turns the ball over way to much when the PGs main responsibility is to protect the rock. I wouldn't mind having him as a reserve but he couldn't hold a candle to Goryle

Exactly. Too some degree all fans are the same, showing unconditional love and irrationally evaluating their players. Lin is overhyped by the media and fans, I'm seeing exactly the same thing happening right to my rockets, only to a lesser extent.

Much like in the beginning of the season some of our intelligent posters claim Kyle Lowry is a better player than deron williams.

Lin was playing at a level above any elite point guard during that streak.

His defense sucks though. On offense he was playing at an elite level... although, too many turnovers eve during Linsanity.
