Islam does not allow editing of it's text.

Whereas Christianity had an entire councel to reach an agreement - which is funny if you think about it......

If any of it was truly from God -- it would all be the same....I mean God could just tell everyone..."Hey, I never said any of that stuff....."...

That council involved persecuting heretics, ironically, which is why the Gnostics aren't too popular these days.

Christianity had a lot of issues that were worked out through blood and tears. The maturation of a religion is never an easy process, one can only hope this is one factor in the maturation of Islam.

    How clever and articulate.

Surely, one can see how this man's talent is being wasted on the internet. Someone, by God, give him a stage!

I said I intended to leave. I didn't. Your remarks provoke the snider side of my humour.

    Live with it.

No doubt, and the Pope's armies slaughtered the Cathars (Gnostics) in the 13th century.

Religion is power to control the people - it can NOT be involved in government it is too corrupt.

Well I definitely regret making this thread.

    Can we be more childish?

I guess I missed it. I'll go find it. As for picking sides, I picked the last post I saw. I haven't read the past two pages. Regardless, playing the victim card in all of this is silly. To give you a little story.

So I just switched jobs but before I was working in education. Every now and then you'll get two kids who get in a spat and get into the silliest tantrums. At the end of it, you generally try to communicate to both of them to quit the name calling and ignore the other person. It doesn't matter who's right and wrong.

In summary, I cant tell if grown men are posting or the 8 year olds that I used to teach. You're adults, start acting like it.

That's because it's a pretty damn long one. Sorry you can't do the same.

We are less like ants to God than single cells to us, in God's image, really!
