I like Cat and Franchise, good style points.

But honestly, Tmax and Rafer were disappoint.

Rafer/Tmac.That backcourt along with Yao's beastly mode got us 22 game streak. Granted yao missed the last 11, but he was a monster in the first 11.Deke was a defensive monster in Yaos abscence.

It's way too early to put Harden and Lin up there...

But I'd go with Cat and Francis.

Tmac didn't play the first game. But yeah. Rafer played much better under Rick Adelman than he did with JVG.

With eachother dude. It was 2 on 5 out there. Mobley atleast was an great defender so he had his reediming features. Francis was man wrecking crew who in my opinion was hurting Yaos development..

Had to include one of the most exciting guards we've had in a while,
    James Harden.

They played with the Rockets before Yao. And this is about Backcourt, not the rest of the team.

He missed the Pacers game but was there for the 21 of the 22. He played a large part, but without Yao and Deke, Rafer, Battier and yes Novak against the Kings it wouldnt have matterd. Rick the Ruler was the man drving them off the court. That was a fun team. If yao hadnt gone down, we would have won it.By won it i mean the whole championship.

you don't have to tell me about Rockets history, those other guys don't know it.

This poll was to compare backcourts.

    what's the better backcourt?

Well even before that when Calvin Cato was starting with rthe wizard(walt williams) and Rice or the washed up obese Rice, it was the same two man game. I liked Mobley in the Lakers series in 99 when he was a young stud and dickerson was actually good. Quitten's only season in houston. That seasons Cat ooked fantastic and kept growing. Then we drafted Francis and their two man game developed.

Matt Maloney actually looked solid and Brent Price had his only good period in houston in that series.

Tmac had some good high points for this team, but no staying power. Rafer was basically Kenny Smith in a different body.

    I would take a Mad Max/Smith backcourt over Tmax/Rafer.

And people who pick Harden/Lin are 14 years old.

yeah but Max/Kenny didn't play in the 00s.

Kenny was 10x better than Rafer. Also the best 3 point shooter in Rockets history. Very low turnovers, clutch ass shooting, great leader, and knew how to pass the ball into the paint.

Sam Cassell gets left out because he was a 6th man. But Cassell/Elie was probably a better backcourt than Lin/Harden.
