I would say huge scoreboard is a factor. The Rockets did a great job to upgrade a new scoreboard. The soon become free agents would be like wow, what a huge scoreboard at Toyota Center, I might want to play for Rockets next season. Or what other thing do you think needs to be done to lure big name free agents?

If we can acquire another franchise/star player ala Harden, that's probably the single biggest thing we can do to improve our chances of luring big free agents to Houston. That, and/or make the playoffs this year.

Win games and have a good enough record where they think they can put us over the top if they come here.

Instead of sending FA's Ipads Morey could just invite them over and watch a presentation on the new scoreboard.

Take them to an IMAX movie. Interrupt the show every 10 minutes, nudging them in the ribs excitedly and whispering "I bet they don't have one of THESE where you're from!"

If that doesn't seal the deal, then treat them to a trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Tell them yes, they could play for other franchises and perhaps win more, but would they be playing where dinosaurs once walked the earth?
