When I come on here frequently, I see familiar posters over and over again loading up the posts (no names need to be mentioned). How many hours of sleep do you guys get? Do you guys stay logged on 24/7 checking Clutchcity.net? I know I stay on at work 8 hours a day, and sometimes check from home. But other than that, just playing my GTA Vice. Just wanted to see an overall poll from the BBS....
I used to easily spend up to 12 hours or more a day at this place. I'd always have it up at work and then I'd go home and open a browser. I'm here to tell you there is hope. I actually find it easier to cut back on posting than I do cutting back on the smokes! I seriously cut back on posting sometime in 2001.
i very rarely post from home...but do from work, obviously. if i get engaged in a conversation or debate, it's hard for me to turn away from it. i work at the same time, usually...or check in while i'm in between things.
I have a very boring job and we often run out of work (we just did as a matter of fact) so I pretty much keep this site open all day. Occasionally, I'll check it at home at night but not very often. As far as people building up post counts by posting a lot, that doesn't really bother me. What good would this site be if no one posted? More posts = more to read = better site. I'm weird. The stupid threads in the GARM everyone else complains about are the ones I like reading. I usually click the locked threads first. It's fun watching everyone pile on.
Dude, I have the ultimate boring job. I do nothing, I repeat, nothing for weeks at a time. Twelve hours a day, 4 days (or nights) a week...nothing but surf the net and post here. Me too!
My work is very repetitve...and on the internet!2 goods reasons to often(up to 5 times /hour) check the BBS. Was #53 I think... ALA
Are you Homer Simpson? Alot of my work is internet research. However, in the mornings (7am-Lunch), I usually browse this BBS and the Seinfeld script site off and on. After lunch I hit the road till 4 or 5 and as long as my wife isn't looking, I try to post some in the afternoon and evenings.
Ahhhhh .............: Mr. Burns: (looking at the security monitors) Who is the man doing nothing but browsing the internet?? Smithers: That is Behad from sector 7-G.
Yes he is (seriously), although i am yet to see the picture and description of what a Behad is in the dictionary
Bob Slydell: If you would, would you walk us through a typical day, for you? Peter Gibbons: Yeah. Bob Slydell: Great. Peter Gibbons: Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late, ah, I use the side door--that way Lumbergh can't see me, heh--after that I sorta space out for an hour. Bob Porter: Da-uh? Space out? Peter Gibbons: Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.
Dont post from work that much anymore because my job takes me all over Austin. Maybe 1-2 hours at work. 3 hours at home probably. Hangout Boy is the king though....
same boat as Behad.. except I actually work at least once a week... an hour or so of real work followed by a week of nothing. Slow year in the petrochem industry huh? cut down on posting lots!...I dont have much to say anymore..
I almost exclusively post from work, very rarely from home. If the sun is out and I don't have to be here, I am on a golf course. If you made me pick one or the other, sorry BBS, you are history. I've never had a post that made me feel as good as sinking a 45 foot eagle putt, even with Vida in the thread... btw I like the way Wilson is bringing hot chicks and sports together in their old school pin up calendar. Never liked Golf in February until now... By the way, this was my 1337 th post. I can safely say that at one time, for just a little while, I was 'leet!
