People expecting Bosh to suddenly become "Toronto Bosh" are a bit delusional IMO. He will get more shots for sure, absent LeBron. His opportunities and his numbers will go up, he will likely be an all-star, but it doesn't make him into a terrific post player again. It isn't his game anymore. Toronto Bosh was an aggressive interior post player who fought for rebounds. LeBron being on the floor didn't stop him from being a post player in Miami, as LeBron wasn't taking a spot in the post. Bosh became a soft 6'11" 2-guard because at age 30 it suits him. He is not overly aggressive or physical, would prefer to drift outside, and also doesn't guard the post well anymore. I really don't expect that to change at all.
Heat should finish behind the Raptors, Wizards, Cavs and Bulls. Hawks and Hornets might give them a run. If the Pacers don't implode like I expect, they could possibly finish in front of the Heat. Miami's prospects next year just aren't very good. A further over-the-hill Wade + jump-shooting Bosh without LeBron to close teams out at will could push them to 7th/8th seed. They need Wade to play 75+ games at a decent level of productivity to even contend for a top 4 seed. Yeah right.
I don't think there's much hope for Bosh in Miami. If they put a legitimate 7 footer next to him, someone that cleans the boards, protects the rim, commands attention on the post. That would change everything. Bosh would be a menace again if he had that.
LeBron is a fantastic post player, plus they had Wade's penetration. Bosh was just their 3rd most talented inside scorer, his jump shooting had more value. Is he ready to assume a bigger role in the post? Who knows. I hope so, the more good teams, the better. It will be certainly interesting to see what happens. I think he's very good defensively right now (far, incomparably better than he was in Toronto), but I won't be surprised if his defense decreases due to a much bigger offensive role.
