Why is it when I heat something in the microwave that the edges are steaming hot and the middle is ice cold?
You mean people don't have to just go "Bonjour" [State Farm commercial] everytime they hear something from the internet that doesn't go with conventional logic? They can actually, gasp, think for themselves? As for microwaving, I'm split on it since I've seen valid arguments on both sides of the equation.
There are toothpastes and mouthwashes made that don't have fluoride and the toxic waste (hydroflourisic acid and sodium fluoride) is the problem, not calcium fluoride which is naturally found in water. Confusion of the two types (usually on purpose) is how scientists have been conned for years into claiming the health benefits of poison to the detriment of the masses.
Probably has to do with attenuation of microwave energy as it's heated from the outside in...I might be wrong though, but I think that makes the most sense. Ordinary light has 30,000 to 50,000 times more quantum energy than miocrowaves - and I'm sure you don't worry about ordinary light. ... Cooking with microwaves has been studied at numerous universities and the conclusions, published in peer-reviewed scientific publications, are that the nutritional content cooked this way are usually superior to any other cooking procedure except steaming to which it is usually comparable. ...
