    Why does it matter?

Figured Kubiak deserves praise for his call of the game.

After all the crap he takes. He called a great one.

Best game in a LONG time. SO excited.

People said Our D was over rated because of our weak division and schedule. Look at the Titans. They are winning. We beat them 47-10?

And now hold the Falcons down. Nice.

Uplifting after the UH DISASTER yesterday ( still mad about all the Sumlin hoopla last week - what a distraction for the team!) Team win for the Texans, 9-3 is amazing. Yates is going to be O.K., AJ injury is a downer, but the defense is just magnificent. And give Kubiak some props, he took off the cuffs a few times.

Yes, can Kubiak get some credit? even when he goes for it on 4th down and INCHES, all the "Kubiak is too conservative" crowd say it was a bad call. make up your damn minds.

he didn't dumb down the playcalling for Yates and showed cojones going for it on 4th down TWICE.

They way clutch made this a Texans forum, he encourages other threads.

We're not stuck in one game thread in an NFL section anymore. :)

    Still can't believe this game.

This team has changed me. I now EXPECT them to win on Sundays. Not hope.

After AJ went out, Kubiak just simply went into beast mode. You could see his intensity on the sideline, and it clearly rubbed off on the rest of the team. I said at one point, it looked like Kubiak was riled up enough to be able to get a few yards himself on a carry.

He had no doubt about going for it on that 4th down (when a FG was the safe route).... but we all know that a FG lead would not have held up.

Kubes deserves the game ball... not only for the above scenario, but having a system and coaching style that has QB's ready to go no matter what the situation.

Totally agree, especially on the last part. Dude is just a HELL of a QB coach, and offensive genius.

That 4th down call, was BALLSY. And damn, I was so happy to see him go for it. And allowing TJ to utilize the bootleg and go down field.

    LOVING IT!

Absolutely. And similarly, I finally now EXPECT the D to come through. When they got the sack/fumble and it was negated by a penalty...it has always been "damn, we almost got that ONE break, and now we're screwed". Especially with the momentum lost

Instead, I KNEW the D would turn it up another notch, keep the intensity up, and play legit ball right after that.

    I love it.

It was Fox Sports. I'll give them props for that... somewhat makes up for them being trigger happy with switching out of the game.

Props to the haters! It's that negative attitude that made enough of us doubt Leinart and want Yates to be qb2!
