I heard about that. It wasn't him. Supposedly it was some baseball player who won the AL championship, but I forgot his name. Looks just like Orton though.
We don't need Delhomme. Unless he gives us Carolina's playbook. ...which doesn't matter since Cam runs his own plays. So yeah, we don't need Delhomme.
If your choices are TJ Yates vs. a Jeff Garcia off the street, just march out there with Yates and live with the results. Yates, afterall, was drafted for a reason.
i don't understand what could have changed between garcia a week ago and now. would be interesting as hell to see him back on the field in the nfl though. guy could play a bit.
Listening to the radio, Garcia might be good for locker room and mentoring reasons, even if he never gets on the field (provided he comes in understanding the situation). Personality wise, he is like the quarterback version of Brian Cushing, apparently. Whoever it is that you sign, things have to go really wrong if they are doing anything other than get scout reps. Yates would have to suck/get hurt, and then presumably Clemens would get the next chance and would have to suck/get hurt. Either that, or they'd have to be so surprisingly impressive that you couldn't help but put them on the field. I think option A would be far more likely.
Jeff garcia has put up a 90+ QB rating the last time he started. Curtis painter was drafted for a reason too. Marshall faulk was traded for a 2nd round pick. Kurt warner was benched for for a few bad QBs. Arian Foster wasn't drafted by a single team. NFL teams are run by a lot of r****ds so just saying he was drafted for a reason is a poor argument. I am not saying he is going to suck, but basing your opinion on what teams do isn't always a great barometer.
Delhomme, a 36-year-old who has thrown for 20,764 yards and 125 touchdowns with 101 interceptions in 10 NFL seasons http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...r-shot-with-texans?module=HP11_headline_stack
