Flynn has potential. I just don't know where he will get any minutes with Lowry and Dragic at the Point.
One of my favorite quotes, "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
Didnt triangle implementer Rambis get the can? So, no more triangle. So, Kahn didnt think he could prosper without the triangle either?
Is the injury in any way major to him? It seemed like a big drop off after he got injured. If so is this a reoccurring injury or degenerative? His rookie numbers look real fine for a rookie and major growth can come from those type of rookie numbers if he gets his injury situation fixed. I am not worried about the offense he came from at all. His rookie numbers show enough to me. Its the second year when he got injured that concerns me and nature of it.
Good point, triangle doesn't fit Rubio's game at all. Maybe they were just happy with a Rubio being backed up by a veteran point guard.
So Kahn was higher on Flynn than Rubio, but trades Flynn for practically nothing. Says Flynn didnt succeed because of the system he was forced to play, even though that system is now in the dung heap. So, what is Kahn saying?
It is all about Ricky Rubio. Flynn's value is undeniably low with the hip surgery and all, and it is all but guaranteed that Kahn promised Rubio a starting job in Minny to get him over here in the first place. At this point, Kahn is walking the tightrope... (Kahn is an idiot, don't try and understand him. Another classic Morey lowball, let's see if it pays off.)
Sounds to me like both Kahn and Ricky Rubio are doomed. Both better hope for an extended lock out because as soon as Kahn's team hits the floor, its going to be obvious that RR isnt going to be able to satisfy all the expectations that have been put on him. And along with that all the expectations Kahn has given his teams fans.
If that's the case, I wonder why Kahn didn't try to keep Flynn for at least a month or two to raise his value. He could've backed up Rubio and showed he wasn't a bust. Oh well, maybe if Rubio gets injured or is an epic bust, Morey can trade Flynn back to Minnesota for Wes Johnson or something.
Seriously, that team is on suicide watch. That second round pick will probably be quite nice, but I wish we could have snagged their 1st!
A Minny unprotected 1st in 2012 might be the most valuable asset in the NBA come draft time next year. And the year after....and the next....and.....
