Maccabi Tel Aviv’s coach David Blatt commented on a few international players on NBA TV. Here’s what I caught:

    Jan Vesley

    -Athletic
    -Shot isn’t great
    -Dribble isn’t great either
-He can pass, but he wouldn’t consider him a point forward
-Needs to be drafted into the right situation for him to contribute

    Donatas Montejunas

    -really skilled
-good at finding a way to put the ball in the basket
-motor and hustle not always there
-what he wants out of a young player is energy and spirit
-donatas doesn’t have this and he might never develop it
-A team might have to surround him with a bunch of dogs to be successful

    Jonas Valanciunas

-long, tall, and raw, but he has the frame to add more weight on if he does it the right way
-can block, rebound, run the court
    -good hands
-he thinks he is the biggest upside center in the draft
    -wants to play and improve
    -has an edge to him

    Kanter

Coach Blatt didn’t speak on Kantar, but the NBA TV crew had a few things to say.
-They though he has good hands
-he was able to practice last year with the team
    -great hands, good an physical
    -tough, hungry rebounder
    -has faceup game
-They also said the GM picking Kanter probably won’t be the GM when Kanter develops into the player they envisioned

On espn2 Kanter described his offensive game:
-he’s thinks his game can be described as Dirk’s jumpshot and Gasol’s post game
-nobody knows about him yet, but they will

I saw this more than an hour ago and was flipping around, so I didn’t catch everything. I just thought hearing Blatt’s opinion on the players is interesting. He’s certainly closer to these players than most NBA scouts. It's also interesting that the only guy he’s really high on is Valanciunas.
