I dont think Hasheem is stupid. I think he just doesnt care too much. He lacks hunger. As a Rockets fan you have to hope that one day he wakes up and decides to give a ****. If not, the best he is going to be is another Kwame Brown or Darko.
I thought it was a legit question about Yao, Thabeet should have just said he looks forward to working and learning from Yao and would love to model his offensive game after him. In the meantime, he looks forward to shutting down the paint! My optimistic self would love to see Yao signed to a two year (2nd year team option) contract and have Thabeet play behind him next season. If Yao get hurt then we can get a top 5 draft pick next season.
I swear that last question on the Hasheem interview sounded like one of your typical internet trolls.
Yea what does it have to do with him how his game compare to Yao's. It's about what he can do to help the Rockets. Maybe ask how being here with Yao when he is back playing can improve his game. Dumb reporter!
Asian reporter: What do you think about Yao taking a crap while drinking a Miller Light? Thabeet: .........................................................................That's a difficult question.
There's a difference between having basketball smarts and book/real-life smarts. Hasheem seems like an intelligent young man, but by no means does that insinuate that he has a high basketball IQ and that he has a huge drive to succeed and improve himself.
How dare he not gobble up the NBA wisdom being given to him by Adelman, the coaching staff and vets like Chuck Hayes? Doesn't he know children are starving in Africa?
