Good Article. I never imagined this kid would be so good. I thought he would okay but not more athletic than Shawn Kemp. The kid has got crazy athleticism and makes Amare look average in that department. Plus you got to love his attitude. If he stays injury free he could redefine the power forward position.

LOL at NBA players getting mad because the guy plays hard.

That is part of what is wrong with the NBA, a bunch of over paid nancies running around and playing only late in games.

BG, you GO on with your bad self !!!

:) He's embarrassing the veterans by posterizing them, and stealing their NBA spotlight with no remorse. So guys are getting more physical and competitive (and increasing cheap shots) with him.

I think its fine, the same thing happened to Jordan when he came in the league and embarrassed people as a rookie and in his early years. It will make him better (and possibly go from superstar to NBA great over time) when/if he and his team overcomes it.

I like Blake Griffin, especially how hard he plays on the court and his intense training off the court, but if he keeps shoving smaller guys in the back, it will end up biting him. He needs to pick on players his own size, like Odom. In today's NBA, the "enforcer act" doesn't work quite like it did in the 70s. Fewer players back down from the challenge. If he keeps it up, players will continue retaliating against him. This does not work to his advantage. All it does is paint a big target on his back for opponents and refs.

What he did to Andre Miller and Mario Chalmers was cheap and didn't help his cause. The Odom incident was LO being his normal, sore-losing, jerky self. Even Kobe took Griffin's side.

I think Griffin plays real hard, and that's admirable. But he does little things (like grabbing LO's jersey that led to the scrum) that can get under your skin. I think it's partly that players nowadays don't give 110% the entire game and they're flummoxed when they encounter a player that does, but Blake Griffin does do some things that will definitely frustrate you.

This is the side Blake Griffin that shoves PGs in the back. If he pulls that garbage against AB or Lowry, I hope one of our PFs pays him back.

    He will learn.

I think those little "cheap shots" Griffin does is just a byproduct of his hard play. His energy is just running so high and he's trying to play so physical he doesn't realize what he's doing. He's not like a Jazz player, intentionally doing these things all game long to gain an unfair advantage. Those are things bigs do to each other all the time and it goes unnoticed but when it's done on a small because they get knocked off balance (and in today's NBA are more used to flopping) so it looks more pronounced.

They're not getting mad because he's trying hard; they're getting mad because he's showboating and running the score.

good. i hope he continues to do that. the nba needs more players like him. a lot of the veterans lacksadasical play is what has made the nba a 10 year snore. MJ got the same **** when he came into the league.

wow, i had never seen that andre miller play and didn't know that was what caused the suspension that ended his games played streak. pretty cool that he did that but also crazy that none of the refs called a foul. maybe they saw the pushes and just decided griffin deserved it and looked the other way.

The last NBA rookie to average 20pts, 12 boards and more then 3 assists?

    Larry Bird.

The vets need to quit whining and start playing harder....it is damned refreshing to see.
