I love it when he said "The future is bright here in Houston" after naming Chase, Jordan, Patrick, and JT. Makes me happy that none of those guys were traded for a pansy like Bosh. Even if nothing big happens this off-season in terms of FAs, I'm looking forward to watch these young guys contribute to the team.

Good interview with Ishmael. I hope he is as talented as he is personable.

Seems to have a good head on his shoulders and the right attitude to succeed.

Yep I will be there for the final game :) Of course that means I miss the first few, but a girl can't be too picky!

Also maybe he has decided to play for country over summer league, aussie team been in camps and has loads of upcoming warm-up games in preparation for the world champs, plus Brett brown now the Aussie coach is also a spurs assistant so maybe the advice is world champs could help him more

Considering I won't have to pay for anything on vacation, I'm pretty stoked. ;)

It's part of the beauty of having parents who don't mind spending money.

The Rockets have a summer league team full of max caliber players:

Budinger = the Summer League Joe Johnson
Jordan Hilll = the Summer League Chris Bosh
Taylor = the Summer League D. Wade
Patrick Patterson = the Summer League Carlo Boozer.

You have unusual standards for greatness. If you define being great as getting kicked out of a a summer league game while dressed in street clothes, then Dorsey did look AMAZING!  He looked bad to me.

He didn't play that game. So not much to judge his basketball skills on. You could get an idea he is a little bit of a loose cannon. Although I thought the ref was a bit to whistle happy.

The first game he played that summer league he did good. And then he got injured.

The next year he averaged 15 and 10... that;s 15 boards and 10 points. Which prompted Morey to say that's the guy we drafted. The problem with Dorsey has always been his head not his talent. Sac was excited to get Dorsey in the trade but when Dorsey why should I practice if your not going to play me they quickly thought different. Even then Morey still wanted Dorsey back... because he saw the talent and thought maybe a switch would go off at some point for him and the risk was worth the possible reward. Dorsey said no.

But no denying 2009 Summer Dorsey was a beast on the boards. And in the couple of games he played during the season he showed that was no fluke.

yes but i believe everyone who plays summer league gets paid some small amount several thousands etc...it means nothing to the first round picks and those under contract of course.

in fact pretty sure most of the first round picks in SL havent signed their contracts since today is the first day contracts can be signed and the league starts tomorrow since first round picks are guaranteed its more of a formality

its the 2nd round picks that have to use the SL to showcase that they are worthy of a contract NOW and not next year etc
