Good god. Uruguay is beating us? Seriously? I don't like Korea's new trend of giving up goals 5 minutes early into matches...
SK isn't a strong team, especially in the backline. Did you see the backers just watching the cross? URU have a strong trio of attackers, so they really are a terrible matchup. It should be 3-0 (handball block, offsides that wasn't) so just be thankful we're not being thoroughly embarrassed. SK better come out with more fire or it's an early exit.
well, whoever gets through to the semis will be ground into minced meat by either brazil or netherlands. but go USA!
Even so, we've held them to one goal... or at least... that shouldn't have been a goal had anyone been back to actually defend it... Uruguay is a beatable team for Korea... If we happen to advance, we'll surely lose... but we should be able to win or at least put up a good fight.
What happens if a player other than the keeper stops an obvious goal with his hands? Is the other team awarded a goal or do they have to take a penalty kick? For example, right there on S. Korea's header, what would have happened if a Uruguayan player just grabbed the ball with their hands? I'm assuming an automatic red card...but lets say there's only a minute left in the game and it's tied. Would it be smart just to grab the ball with your hands?
