Blinebury's article takes a serious hit in the credibility department when he mentions Bosh's so-called "wish list". Unless I've been misinformed, Bosh's "wish list" was debunked about a day or two after it supposedly came to light.

Given the amount of time Yao can play this season, i would not mind picking up Shaq as a backup center. Yao is limited to 20 mins a game. Shaq could give 20 mins if needed. I think this is one of those seasons were the Rockets make a run for the title. If Morey picks up a all star player some how in the FA, then we need a legit backup center. Shaq is a good backup and better than chuck. Chuck struggles to score.

 

As far as the center position for the Rockets is concerned, I'd take Shaq over Hayes any day. Like Yao, Shaq's mere presence in the paint is good D by itself, clogging the lane/blocking shots, intimidating driving guards, etc.

The reason why the D was absent from Rockets play this season was because of the lack of size, i.e. Chuckwagon, the paint was open most of the time.

The only way we trade Martin away is if we get an upgrade at SG. There's no way we're gonna rob Peter to pay Paul and upgrade at a different position while being left with Taylor and Budinger at that position. Martin is valued higher by Morey than most other GMs anyway, so it's not like we can upgrade at a different position while getting a comparable SG in return as well.

There's only 2 players that I can think of who would be upgrades at SG for us...
