You do know that they were ready to sign Reggie Bush, but they changed their mind at the last minute because they didn't like the vibe coming out of their camp.

I may be wrong, but my hunch is they will not go with a CB in the first.

Earl Thomas is gonna be gone for sure and I think someone is gonna pickup Dan Williams (there is at least 1 DT that gets picked up too early every year). So I think it'll come down to picking between Matthews and K. Wilson.

I can't see Kubiak using a 1st rounder on a RB when we have a huge need at CB and I don't think "pride" is going to stop them at all from picking one up. Wilson is the best cover corner in the draft and is also an outstanding ST player, if he's available at #20, I don't see the Texans passing on him.

Also, the Texans' draft history is pretty interesting (another reason why I don't think they would hesitate to pick up a CB):

    1. 1st Round picks on the DL 3 years in a row.
    2. Used consecutive picks on TEs despite having OD.
    3. Picked up Barwin in the 2nd despite having Mario and Antoine Smith (who we had just signed).

But most of all, the Texans may have been the most active when it comes to picking up CBs. I think they know the importance of that position so I don't think "pride" is gonna stop them at all...

    Quin drafted in the 4th.
    Molden drafted in the 3rd.
Signed Reeves to a big contract.
    Bennett in the 4th.

A lot of those guys really haven't worked out so I could see the Texans using a high pick on one if they feel he'll work out.

I would be thrilled if the Texans drafted either cornerback Kyle Wilson or Devin McCourty in the 1st round. Defensive Tackle Tyson Alualu or Linval Joseph in the 2nd round. And either Ben Tate, Jonathan Dwyer, or Anthony Dixon in the 3rd round. Three biggest needs are CB, DT, and RB in my opinion.

I would take that draft, however, I'd rather have Lamarr Houston over Alualu and Joseph. Alualu is a little undersized and is being projected as a 3-4 DE. Joseph's size would be a nice addition but I like Houston's explosiveness and tenacity.

I like Houston too. I have pretty much given up hope on Amobi Okoye and I think Kubiak should not just hand him a starting spot. However, it's not like they have a lot of players there to compete. I was hoping they would have signed a player like Jimmy Kennedy or Cory Redding to come in and push Okoye and Cody.

According to Mike Mayock, Alualu payed as a 5 technique (3-4 DE) at Cal but was somewhat miscast. He says he will fit better as a 3 technique, penetrating tackle in a 4-3. This is what we need, so he would be a fit in round 2 or 3, him or Lamarr Houston. If they take one of them then I think it would spell the end of Okoye, if not immediately it could be like we saw the writing on the wall for Travis Johnson. Personally I hope Amobi can turn it around, and I can't see what could have happened between his first month in the league when he had 4 sacks and now.

I think these are top 6 NFL quarterback prospects.

    1. Jimmy Clausen
    2. Sam Bradford
    3. Jevan Snead
    4. Jonathan Crompton
    5. John Skelton
    6. Tim Hiller

Must be nice to get paid and not make much of an impact.

    Snead is awful.

Colt McCoy has Kyle Orton potential at best, and Tebow is all kinds of question marks, but both are better prospects than underperformers like Snead and Crompton.

40 sacks in 4 years is truly no impact, I wonder why he made all those pro-bowls

I though this was a joke post until I realized it was the same person who thinks Jimmy Clausen should replace Schaub

Here's the hilarity of her Mario "paid for doing nothing" comment.

She wants us to draft Jimmy Clausen, which ultimately would give him first round money. The irony of this is, is she makes fun of Mario for having "zero impact" while getting paid tons of money, despite him actually being on the field making plays but now she wants to create the scenario where you have 2 highly paid quarterbacks and have one of them (Claussen due to Schaub being a top flight QB) sit on the bench and LITERALLY get paid to do nothing?
