That's too bad for Oden. He just started to show some flashes lately and now he's out again for a long time. I've said since the beginning that health would be his biggest hurdle in fullfilling his potential, which still remains enormous. The guy just hasn't been able to stay healthy on any level for an extended period of time. He's been seriously injured at least once for each of the last five years.

Good luck to Greg Oden. He'll need plenty of it.

 

thanks for posting. so sad. i agree that this is probably karma working against Pritchard, but i hate that it's happening to Oden.

it's bad to wish something like this on someone, but i wouldn't mind if it happened to KG or Kenyon.

Fractured his patella? Isn't that the same injury Yao got against the Clippers.

I hope Oden makes it back, you really feel for the guy.

I don't exactly like Oden, but sucks for him cause he was having a great year, plus he was a blocking machine for my fantasy team...

Poor Oden, I feel bad for him, they Blazers got hope on him.
and I dont think he is in the level of Sam Bowie, but lets see.

 

Too many injuries happen to guys that don't deserve them, while guys like Flopzilla are running around.

 

I still don't understand how it happened. He just jumped and his patella snapped in half?

I'm not so sure he'll still be in the league 3 years from now.

 

I'm with you. It's a shame. A real shame.

 

That's so sad... Hate to see his career start out like this... hope his surgery goes well.

 

I would think it was his right knee, since that's where the collision happened.

It looked like an awkward jump.



His injury looked more like a dislocation. I hope it's not as bad as they claim it is.

 

Man those pictures are not for the faint hearted...

Now you question if he'll ever be the same again...

 

I just find it awesome that Keith Jones ran off the bench to help him out. Good job Keith.
