If thinking homosexuality is a bad thing makes me a loon then I guess me, Jesus and whole lot of other people are what you say. Turn off the TV and actually think about what you are saying, maybe you can grow up then.

If you think homosexuality is a choice, then tell me when you chose to not be homosexual? What was it like when you had to make up your mind to not like the same sex? I don't believe it was a choice. I've always been attracted only to the opposite sex, and never had to think about it or choose it. It seems strange to me that someone would have to choose that.

Once you have some actual experience with real people, real gay and lesbian persons, you will find it very difficult to hate them, to be fixated on laws denying them their rights within our society. By the way, it isn't hard to find gay and lesbian people with whom to sit down and eat. They are in our church. In fact, they have made tremendous contributions to the life of the church throughout its history. Today they offer their gifts and talents in congregations in all the various denominations. Gay and lesbian people are not outside the grace and mercy of God; they are sinners like us all; they are our brothers and sisters in Christ. When we hate them we hate ourselves, we hate what God has made good and wonderful."
You can assume whatever you want about me based on my posts if it makes you happy. I am confident in my beliefs AND my sexuality to laugh at your feeble comments. But when some lacky starts to make comments about my wife I am going to draw the line right there.

I choose not to be gay everytime I sleep with a woman. Everytime you have sex is a conscious decision. The urges are spurred on by our real desires whether they can conscious or subconscious. That is what choice is. I bet you there is not a single shred of evidence that concludes that homosexuality is a result of birth.

I won't call you old fashioned. There are plenty of older Americans that fear the gay community. I know plenty of 55+ year old people that are "god-fearing" and live strictly to the bible. I know how these discussions go nobody is going to change the way you think or what you believe besides yourself. Being gay is not an illness and you have no right to judge what the hell somebody does, with consent, behind closed doors if it doesn't affect/hurt you. That's being a true American. I didn't open this thread because I don't like getting into gay sex is right/wrong/natural/unnatural/sinful/holy discussions. That being said, I missed out. I'm sure this is exactly what every gay person in the world was waiting for: the UN to tell them that they're okay. You know what would really help the non-existent gays being oppressed in Iran? A strongly worded letter from the UN telling the Iranian leaders to stop it.
