Okay.... On November the 3rd, 1999(fittingly), my wife gave birth to our first child at 9:06 AM. A healthy baby BOY weighing in at 8 lbs. 8 oz., measuring 18 1/2 inches. We had to deliver in an emergency "c"-section, so keep my wife in your thoughts and prayers... baby is great, but you can keep him in mind too. I'll try and get a picture online soon. We will call him "Trey." Trey stands for "the third" or "three." We've chosen this name because my father initials were K.M.M., as are mine (making me the second, or II, or junior)... and now my son... WHOA!! MY SON!! - my son's initials are the same so he's the third, or III... a.k.a. Trey. Pretty cool name for Basketball too, huh!?! So unless Francis ends up getting the jersey number 3 retired, look for my son wearing #3 on the court come 2024!!! Gotta go. Baby's waking up! BTW- We've already got him a Rockets outfit, actually 2 of them, complete with socks, hat, bib, and jumper! ------------------ Proud Father of the Rockets' future point guard. Congrats, IROCit. Not long until IROCit2 will be posting a outrageous speed? All the best to your wife, your child, and you.
IROC IT, All my congratulations to you and your family. I will pray for your wife to end up healthy and strong. By the way, I heard that if you get your son into the Advance Rocketball Camp for Future Stars of the NBA within the first 3 months of birth, they usually walk at 6 months, speak 5 languages at 18 months, and have a killer crossover at 2 years. I recommend you do that. That way, as soon as Dream retires, we can just plug him right it!! GOOD LUCK!!!! And many blessings!!! ------------------ Live Rocketball. Breathe Rocketball. Die with Rocketball.
All the best to your family! Now, no more sleep for you. 2024... are you sure he won't come out after his sophomore year?
Congratulations, IROCit. Best wishes to you and your family. ------------------ 'And in the night of death, hope sees a star, and listening love hears the rustle of a wing.' No clue who said that.
Congratulations IROCit, I don't have any kids of my own yet, but I've got four nephews who are between the ages of 10 months & 3 years. They are awesome. Can't wait for one of my own. Your wife is in my prayers. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughtfulness!! My wife is doing great! She got her stitches (staples... ouch!) out today, and Doc said she's doing fine! Just as long as she doesn't over exert herself, she's ahead of schedule!! Rob In Spring, yep, I hear ya! And with the strength my son's already showing, he just may grow up to be a linebacker, or a homerun hitter too! He's just a week old, and he's already picking his head up and turning over from the laying on the stomach position... Also, true story I forgot to add... When the doctor went in to get the baby, that is made the incision, the baby stuck his right arm and shoulder out almost simultaneously! He was like, "Lemme outta here!!!" The doctor had to stuff him back inside, and then remove him head first. So with that tenacious reach... he could be a linebacker, a three point shooter, or a pitcher! Of course even if he never does any of that stuff, I'll still love him for who he is. ------------------ Proud Father of the Rockets' future point guard.
Rob in Spring, Guest. if nothing else came of bumping a 9 year old thread for no reason, i've never seen a post by a Guest with n/a posts before.
