My bad, how could one be Rocket fan without knowing 23 is in the rafters? Seriously, this actually enforces my opinion the op was fooling around. I am wondering why he did not just put up all the retired numbers together with 11. I would be a lot easier for the knowlegable fans to pick the number 11. Maybe his goal was more than just to prove Ron Ron deserves #11, not Yao.
all of you guys have issues with reading. the first post was a list of all the numbers he used in the NBA. didn't I ask you to read the first post? you still haven't come up an answer on what you thought I picked. obviously 23 is in the rafters, any ROCKET fan would know that and it was mentioned BEFORE in this thread. but that was one of his numbers so I put it there. 11 is NOT RETIRED so why would I group the retired numbers with it? seriously read what you are writing. you're just a pissed off Yao aholic here. I'm glad you are wasting your day trying to figure out why the hell I put these numbers here. maybe one day you'll actually care about Rocket's history. obviously not anytime soon.
You really don't have to give me clue on what those videos are. I have been around long enough to have a reasonble prediction what they are. More importantly, my reply to your post was strictly on what you wrote. Your intention was clear enough without those supplementay videos. I just decided to say some time and bandwidth. One thing confuses me is that, regarding #11, you have only talked why Ron should get it and you have not talked why Yao should give it up. Oh, excuse me, now I remember because Yao do not play like other #11. But if Yao has better chance to get #11 in the rafters, why does he have to play like others or he has to give it to a player has less chance to get that number retired? You hate #11, don't you?
man you're right, Quick was from Compton! maybe my memory is hazy on the Oakland rappers. oh by the way did you notice that I'm hinting that I voted for #11 cause I posted that video called 93 Til Infinity! I guess according to some, I'm trying to rip on Yao by posting Souls of Mischief songs. I swear these dudes need to stop fronting cause how do they know? they're too crazy for their own good they need to stop watching that colours and boyz n the hood <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OOs6qNJevvE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OOs6qNJevvE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
exactly rilfa, 1. you didn't watch any of the videos cause you don't care about what is written on this thread. If you had watched the very first one (a video called 93 til infinity) you might use your brain for once to figure out what I picked. 2. if had any knowledge of the Houston Rockets at all. besides what underwear Yao wears, you'd know that Ron Artest is a defensive specialist, who gets lots of steals, and gets tons of technical fouls and a certain type of personality like another #11 that you don't care to read or watch about cause he's not chinese . keep posting rilfa, let the entire clutchfan nation know your complete disregard for any thing anyone here posts and your AGENDA not my AGENDA on this board. Congratulations, you have PROVEN what the WHO IS DREAM? thread is all about. its about that people are BLINDLY TURNING ANY THREAD to a YAO THREAD. This thread HAS NOTHING TO WITH YAO just like the name "DREAM" has NOTHING TO DO WITH YAO. congratulations about not knowing a single thing about the nba, the rockets, or hell I probably know more about Yao than you. I should have put 1 on there too so the Tmac fans have some fun too. oh since I last looked Yao Ming is a center and Ron Artest is a G/F. he does play similar to another G.
I give you the answer why I won't do it before you answer my simple "yes or no" question. be careful what you say. Not all Rocket fans, not even all American Rocket fans, not even all Houston rocket fans, not even all Houston Rocket fans who have watch Rocket games on home court know it. I am willing to bet any amount of money you are comfortable with that you are wrong here. because people will leave no choice but to chose #11 as you wish. Did I say, a few posts ago, that you start to lose your cool and it is no fun to try to have fun and ends up no fun at all? I like that cool pretender better. I have to admit that I probably will never be as knowledgeable as you are Rockets history. I have many other things in my life.
I guess I have to quit on you. At least I had a hope you would behave better when I argued with you. And all I see is you are getting worse and worse, not only getting incrediblely rude, but also totally losing your reasoning ability. It really does not worth my time.
1. I gave people 5 choices. not #11. this isn't a post about who's the better clutch player, Yao wouldn't win that one. its about Ron Artests and his numbers. 2. you're hear to put your Yao agenda first over others. I understand that its hard for you to comprehend that people can find similarities between Ron Artest and Vernon Maxwell. 3. i'm trying to make you learn by sharing my knowledge, but let you don't accept it. you ignore my knowledge of rockets history and hip hop music that I try to share to you. how can I teach you to be a master if you are willing to be happy as the grasshopper?
careful with those words dude cause some people think i've brainwashed you with my youtube videos and hip hop music!
I don't want to get into this and I'm not going to try to read tinman's mind on whether he would like to see Artest wear #11 rather than Yao but I could see this being the case - tinman looking at Yao's number being put up there and thinking it should be Vernon's. Crazy. Anyway, I hope he wears 93. It's just a cool number. You deserve a lengthy ban just for proposing that.
What he said exactly is that instead of numbers he wanted to use alphabets. I fell out of my chair when I heard this.
Dennis Rodman's reasoning for using 91 was because 9+1=10. 10 was his number from the Bad Boys of Motown. I used to collect his basketball cards to get his different hairstyles with the Bulls and the Spurs. Don't know why, but when you are a collectomaniac, you try to collect everything.
I like that Ron Ron has love for the history of the game its quite obvious that some people here don't respect the history of the nba never mind the history of the Rockets. I hope Ron Ron gets a couple technical fouls and throws a few weights around just for fun.
