DEVO's catalog from 74-81 is untouchable, in my opinion. However, this album has greatness spewing out of it from all angles.

Damn good list. Hard to argue any of them. I can't pick a solitary album as all time because mood determines favorites, but all of these would make my list at one time or another. Probably throw in The Cure - Disentegration and maybe Dinosaur. Jr. - Green Mind
Led Zeppelin IV- Led Zep Led Zeppelin II- Led Zep Dark Side of the Moon- Pink Floyd The Wall- Pink Floyd Let it Be- The Beatles The White Album- The Beatles Synchronicity- The Police Experience Hendrix- Jimi Hendrix The Doors- The Doors AC/DC- Back in Black Guns n Roses- Appetite for Destruction Michael Jackson- Thriller Tupac- All Eyez on Me BIG- Life After Death Jay-Z- Reasonable Doubt Nas - Illmatic Mr. Lif- I Phantom Mos Def- Black on Both Sides Talib Kweli- Reflection Eternal Black Star-Black Star Common- Ressurection Chamillionaire- Ultimate Victory Just my faves, though I do think Led Zep 4 gets my vote as best of all time, bar none.
when you have to boil down something all the way like this. it doesnt just have to sound good to or even great it has to mean something to you. and that for me is pink floyd the wall. makes me think of my childhood any many ways. makes me think of my brothers. among other things. at least thats how i do it.
Not a bad list, but seriously...I would put californication down as the Chili's WORST album. At the risk of sounding like a musical snob, I submit to you that if you list a post-Hillel Slovak album as a "great" RHCP album, you really don't know much about the RHCP's. Yes, I know music is subjective....I'm just sayin'......
he's doing christian rock now, right? i saw head east open for Blooad, Sweat, and Tears at the Mississippi River Festival at SIU summer of, uhmm, i think '76 but it's hard to remember now. it was a weird juxtaposition, kind of like having Grand Funk open for Carole King. Schlitt was down in the aisles, trying to get the crowd revved up, but to little avail. my buddy i really liked them, tho it took me a a year or more before i could find the album in a store. still think he was one of the better rock tenors- maybe not quite steve perry/geddy lee, but up there.
