    it does say

"volunteers opened 2 new offices for the obama campaign." but it goes on to say, "paid staffers are expected to man the office by the end of the week," which would have been last friday or saturday. kind of conflicting statements, either way it's not probably not a good idea for the campaign to be associated with a marxist insurgent.

like you said, it may be a good idea to go chew them out.

Because it was bloody obvious they weren't. I hear telecoms hire lawyers these days.... How hard is it to say "sure we'll comply with the wiretap - let's see the warrant."

I mean, seriously, are you 12 or something? Do you just believe anything you read or hear without thinking?

Illegally spying on americans = fighting terrorists? No wonder osama is still free.

Your sad attempts at this same tired strawman are a poignant analogy to your hero dubya's spectacular fall into ineptitude, failure, and public disdain.

I saw that obama bit on fox when it came on.

I was like "what idiot put that there" and then "interesting that they chose that camera angle"...

Another example of Republican selected literalism and the dismissal of history in support of their agenda. Of course W is on the ticket. And he'll be there for a generation. Just like Dems ran against Hoover for a generation and just like Repubs ran against McGovern and Carter for a generation, Dems will run against the failed W administration for a generation.

People hate W. They really hate Cheney. They hate this administration. And they will vote against it for the foreseeable future... at least until the current Republican Party blows itself up and starts over again or they get a generational politician, which would be necessarily be the same thing. This time, they'll blame not-true conservative McCain for the election's failure and come back with a NeoCon nutjob next time, who will also get trounced... and I don't see Reagan walking through that door anytime soon.

To top it off, the modern Repub Party has spent so much time on message that they forgot to pay attention to governing, much less ideas. The posing of W as some fighter jock combo of Lincoln and Churchill was laughable to some immediately, but now it is definitely so for a majority of Americans and the rhetorical tricks no longer play in Peoria. That Fox is no longer one of the Top Ten cable channels is telling in that regard.

W and his supporters ran Reaganism into the ground and ruined the Republican brand. Reagan Democrats are long gone and now it looks like they'll be replaced by Obama Republicans. The only people who get upset with Obama and others recognizing all this are the dead-enders and thankfully, they are now a definite minority.
