Bingo. Bonzi is only going to overpower other team's SG's if the other teams let him. Are the lakers going to let Tracy murder Luke Walton on the perimeter while Bonzi punishes the slimmer Kobe down low? Or will they do the logical thing and let Kobe guard Tmac and Walton guard Bonzi? In the NBA, it's all about matchups.

Damn, we have so much talent. Only thing I am worried about is what will happen with the guys who don't get the minutes they want - I hope they will stick it out and will wait for their chance. Good comments by Alston (especially the "I'm a streaky shooter" part ).
Yeah I just saw that... Too bad for Bonzi, but hopefully it's not going to bother him like it did last year. There's no way he's going to have another season like last year. Just look at how thin he's gotten. He's clearly motivated. He doesn't have a choice either. This is his last chance to play for a big contract. The injury stinks for him, but it's not the end of the world that he can't practice with the team now. Now if it's still bothering him and we're in November, then I'll worry about it. They said it was a MINOR strain though. Not sure what their definition of minor is, but he should be 100% healthy by the time the season starts.
hopefully this downtime will give him enough time to memorize 76 thousand plays, because if JVG had 75 thousand OFFENSIVE plays then Rick Adelman will definately have at least 1 thousand more... GL ON MEMORIZING THOSE BONZI!!
