I am an idiot. I just realized Nikkie doesn't say "Paolo lies" she says (I am) "Paralyzed".

She did wake up. She opened her eyes just a dirt/sand was being shoveled onto her face. But nobody saw I guess.

You guys are missing the importance of Expose'. They basically layed out a major plotline in the beginning sequence, which will make Nikki and Paolo iconic through this episode.

Nikki, the guest star who likes to kill father figures, finds out that Lando Clarissian, the "good guy's" boss, is really the villian. Billy Dee kills Nikki before she can expose him, and the "other" strippers are left to bring Mr. Malt Liquor down.

    ergo,

The survivors figure out that Jacob is the bad guy. They will all get killed, and the others will be left to bring him down. We'll find out that Jacob is black and has four toes on one of his feet.

You may have realized that this is all fictitious.

They kept showing them just as a way to shoe horn them into the established story line.

I get the set up from the opening scene and how it relates to everything but I still thought this episode was stupid and a waste.

I am so glad they are dead, couldn't stand either character

I absolutely LOVED last nights episode. We got to see Ethan and Ben PLUS these people knew about the hatch and the plane and didnt say anything about it..... kind of eerie.

There was alot of good info. revealed and I was really shocked at the end....

    creepy!!

I think that the show has gained alot of momentum since picking up in 2007. Lots of great episodes (except for the Hurley back story).

Shows how different our tastes are. I thought it was the best episode in a year!

-Sawyer is more sinister than I thought.
-Now I know what Ben was doing all along.
-Those who can, do, Those who can't, end up blown up former jr. high science teachers.
-Juliet was attracted to Jack from the beginning
-Great writing and being buried alive makes for great TV.
    -I love the music.

    -I miss Vincent.

That was THE WORST episode so far. Worst opening to an episode....and ....well...it SUCKED. I'm highly disapointed. I just started watching 24, and man. I'm starting to like it better than Lost.

I didn't even care about those 2 new characters in the first place, so how they died...I didn't care...and yet the entire episode was about that.

And all that BS about them finding the plane, hatch, and Henry and not saying anything? nice....

I thought it was a badass episode and I hated those characters but damn that girl looked hot as hell in this episode (especially when she was trying to get that junior high teacher to do something for her)

I really liked this episode. It was the first episode where I said "wow" at the end of it. I thought Sawyer showed his human side by giving away the diamonds at the end.

It was okay. Unfortunately, that seems to be the direction the show is going.

I'll continue to watch it because of how much I loved the first two seasons, but I really think it's going downhill...though slowly.

Nice, quirky episode, IMO. Very entertaining, and I loved the island flashbacks, especially the one of the aftermath of the plane crash.

I think we should create a seperate thread for people who just watch the show...

Don't go to the website, don't read the interviews, don't look for leaks or spoilers, etc...

There were some horrible spoilers in this thread that weren't tagged and that REALLY sucks for someone like me who has ONLY watched the show RELIGIOUSLY for 3 seasons...

It was a cool episode. It was pretty pointless in the grand scheme of the show, but it was cool to see them go back and show some past characters. To the people that say it was a bad episode, it was entertaining wasn't it? Unfortunately, the main goal is the ratings, not advancing a storyline and answering any of the hundreds of questions.

I agree that it was a junk episode. That said, I think people "nostalgia-ize" Season 1 a good bit and forget the number of no action/pure character episodes that were so slow it hurt.

I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Nikki and/or Paulo, as Locke said "nothing on this island stays buried long"
Too bad, because it'd be nice to be done with that worthless pair

Actually, all we need is for this BBS to use common sense with the spoiler tags.
    (good use, made up)
    Major Spoiler Alert!
Michael returns in two weeks, and we find out that the outside world no longer exists!!!!

(bad use ex1. - no tags and false alarm spoiler)
    Does anyone wonder about Walt?
-->Don't force the BBS to click on every spoiler tag just to see regular posts - boy who cried wolf situation

(bad use ex2. - no tags and a major spoiler)
-->People will unfortunately assume its just another "bad ex.1"

why don't you not come to this thread until after you've watched the episode? shouldn't take you long to catch up on an episode after it airs since you watch it RELIGIOUSLY. that's what i do.. download and watch before getting on this forum

If Ehsan was referring to the latest episode being discussed after it was aired, then I take everything back. I had to record it and watch it last night - and I wasn't about to go reading LOST threads until I had. Pretty simple common sense.
